Discussing on the movie board but thought you folks might find this interesting. It will certainly ruffle some feathers come release.

Is the premise an actual civil war (we've never had one) or another conventional war between 2 countries like 1860?

Most movies made about the civil war are historically wrong

They portray white folks as bad when they should e portraying democrats as bad

100% everyone who buys tickets to that movie will be on a watch list.

Better use cash.

Looks incredibly stupid. Especially F-22s flying under 5000 feet

Love the comment “Texas and California working together…obvious fiction”

I just saw the trailer. Looks like a pretty cool movie. Can't tell if there's an agenda there or not.

Sounds like California & Texas vs. US. Florida too?

Predictive Programming

Just like before covid hit, we had pandemic movies and shows, now the establishment is trying to plant the seeds of discontent and how it would impact you, the little people.

A24 is a great production house that has churned out some amazing flicks. They definitely take chances and skew towards the art house stuff

That said, theres absolutely zero chance a film is made in 2023 thats gets at the root of what would actually ignite a modern civil war. And I won’t hold my breath that it won’t be rife with exaggerated depictions of whites as yeehaw zealots with a generous helping of black wisdom and heroism

I have -sincerely- not been interested in any movies in so long I am truly unplugged.

They just dropped another end of the worlder by the Obamas. Now a civil war movie?

I'm 100% disinterested in continuing -any- messaging I may pick up unwittingly along the way. Even in the movies you catch 100% of their intent, you still have to contend with memory being fluid... over time, it adds up to a picture THEY are drawing for me.

There are worse things to have to lose than shitty entertainment.

Crazy how all of the movies coming out is about crazy shite like this and USA getting nuked, etc.

They are grooming us to be ready when it all happens

The predictive train rolls on, I see. First Leave the World Behind lays out the comms blackout scenario, now this.

Looks interesting. I would think they could come up with better states teaming up . Maybe they put Texas with California because California would need a ally that produces a lot of electric because they import so most power. I think the military being involved would seem very unlikely. If it was the smart one would go after the others power grid . You knock out there power and communication and they will kill each other to survive.
