Left ankle sprain?? Did any of you see him do this lol

He turned his ankle on his last basket when he was fouled. I knew as soon as I saw him turn it that he would be questionable. Let's just hope this isn't the normal Pels injury.

quote:Yes, end of game he went up and got fouled. Went down and got up hobbling a bit.

The second i saw him roll that ankle just that tiny bit i said "welp, i'll guess he'll be out and re-evaluated in 2 weeks"

That's better than doubtful but given the staff history he's out tomorrow. We should be able to handle the wizards without him.
For those that didn't see it, the sprain was pretty minimal turn of the foot off a jumpshot. He finished the game and didn't come out for it.

I’ve been every year to the Pels/Wizards game in DC (since 2012 minus COVID years) and I’ve never seen Zion play in person. And I think I only saw AD play like once in that span. My son is going to be super disappointed.

O dear god that looks like it has re-evaluated in two weeks written all over it.

It doesn't twist that much. With this team it's probably 10-14 days, but that seems like a day to day sprain for most players on other teams.

put him limited minutes for a game or so. he's got to prove to everyone he can fight thru some of this shite.

He practiced today and even did extra work after practice.
It’s probably just adding him to the report so that they don’t get fined if he plays limited minutes or something

Have you met the pelicans medical staff? They turn calf injuries into 2 month long elbow surgeries.
Even if he wants to play- they’ll hold him out because the staff is ultra conservative.

The fact he practiced is good news!

I'm holding out hope that he tells the organization that he is playing.

I’m cursed. Last year BI and Z were both out. We still blew out the Wizards but damn. We did meet Trajan Langdon and talked for a bit so that was cool.

It's fricking Washington. If there's a team you want him to rest for, it's the wizards.

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal, especially if he played the rest of the game. He has to be on injury report per medical protocol but I say he misses anywhere from 0 to 2 games total
