John C. Reilly. Not every movie he has been in has been great, but he’s never the problem. Believable in every role.

Robert De Niro. He's played about everything you can play and mostly well.

Also... Timothy Olyphant has pretty much covered everything and been great in everything he does...

DDL is one of the great Dramatic actors of all time but would you cast him as Darryl in the Witches of Eastwick, the Joker in Batman and Col. Nathan Jessup in a Few Good Men like Nicholson?

I mean, just because he wasn't in a Witches type movie doesn't mean he can't do comedy. He could 100% do Jessup. Joker, I'm not sure but I wouldn't pigeon hole him into not being versatile.

Michael Keaton hasn't been mentioned yet but he's pretty damn underrated for this category.

I was just giving you an example. Of course DDL could play Jessup, it's a great Dramatic character. Look, opinions are like assholes, we all have them. I'm not crapping on DDL by no means but I'm not sure I would put him into the Swiss Army Knife category.

Joker, I'm not sure

I think he could pull off the joker... problem is he'd have to stay in character as the joker for 6 months before they started filming.

Nicholous Cage for one, everything he does is done well with good acting, and he has done like every version of personality in his roles
