I guess I’ll go with the meeting of the families. The Don displays his power and cunning in the meeting like a boss.
The bolt of lightening speech. He was blatantly reminding them that even weakened, he could kill them all.

I recently purchased a bootleg of The Godfather Saga (the chronological cut of 1 & 2) and I might need to find the time this week to watch it.

I love the flashback scene at the end of part 2, where it’s their pop’s birthday and Mike is home from college and has just enlisted. All four of the brothers’ (counting Tom) personalities come out. Sonny introduces his sister to Carlo.
But, there are so many good scenes. Hyman telling Michael that “this is the business we’ve chosen”. Sonny getting the call from his sister after Carlo beat her. Maybe my favorite is Vito making peace with the other heads of the families, and says if anything happens to Michael, “if he is struck by a bolt of lightning”, then he will hold some of those people responsible.

My offer is this: nothing.

Why don’t you just ask me which one of my kids I like the best? Good grief.

On a similar note, when their mother dies, Michael gives Fredo a hug and gives the go ahead nod to the hit man. The hit man couldn’t even look him in the eye
Al Neri was such a bad arse

That’s how good The Godfather is.

Oh I've seen the chronological cut many times. AMC used to show it like once a year but I think it's been 20 years. I watch 1 & 2 once a year but like the chronological cut with the deleted scenes reinserted.

A favorite of mine is when Vito and young Clemenza break into the mansion to steal the rug.

The scene where Apollonia gets blown up in the car instead of Michael. That scene to me was the start of Michael becoming one vicious mother fricker in general.

I always loved the scene where young Vito Corlene hops rooftop to rooftop following the Don then eventually killing him.

When Kay is telling Michael she had an abortion. You can see him slowly boiling then he springs across the room like a damn panther to pop her. Young Pacino was quick as shite

Michael killing McClusky.
That whole scene is brilliant. Tension. Train noise. The lack of subtitles. It draws you in. You don’t speak Italian at all but you understand the conversation. Michael’s limited Italian is used perfectly to punctuate the scene. When needs absolute clarity and has to speak English.
The realism of the shooting. He misses once shooting the cop in the throat causing a big fricking mess. He screws up everything Clemenza told him. Walks but then runs. Does get anyone in the head twice. Starts to drop the gun but throws it.
