At COP china and India announce they will expand coal plants, why continue the conference?

Two years ago the increase, just the increase in pollution by china offset the entire rest of the world's reduction in carbon footprint. And keep in mind, this does not count their belt and road initiative where the number one expenditure is the building of coal fired power plants throughout the rest of the world.
The world will look back at the times we are living in the same way we view things like WW2.....how on earth could you not see what was coming, what it was about.
Nearly 80,000 people meeting in the desert, in the desert to discuss global warming, change, or whatever the buzz word is. Private jets, houses at the beach, yet no stoves for us. Its all about control and wealth transfer nothing more.

China and India basically told every other country
“One more thing
”

Trump was right for pulling the US from the Paris accords.
All it did was put us at an economic disadvantage while the rest of the world goes on to pollute anyway.

It turns out that the world's richest 1 percent emit about the same amount of carbon as the world's poorest two-thirds, according to an analysis from the nonprofit Oxfam International.
This means that a small sliver of global elites, or 77 million people, have produced as much carbon as the 5 billion people that make up the bottom 66 percent by wealth, per the study.
The study also estimates that it would take roughly 1,500 years for someone in the bottom 99 percent to produce as much carbon as the wealthiest

Because Western Europe and the USA are making all the sacrifices.
Its communism. Steal from you and I, give to those who time has passed by.

This is a big problem I have with the global warming crowd. They focus their efforts on countries already complying with their demands, but ignore those which aren't. Of those which aren't, China emits more greenhouse gases than the US and EU combined. To reach China's emission levels you have to lump the US, the EU and India together (at least as of 2021 numbers).
Why aren't protestors stacked outside of Chinese embassies? Why aren't they calling for a ban of all Chinese-made (or even Chinese-related) products? Why aren't they gluing themselves to streets and runways in China?
Because they aren't serious enough about it to go that far. It's far easier to get that warm and fuzzy feeling of righteousness by bitching and moaning to those who will tolerate your antics than it is to be serious enough about your convictions to risk life and limb by protesting towards those who may retaliate.

What article is this from? Love to send this to some of my leftwing environmental family members.

Carbon is NOT a problem. Do you have any idea what the percentage of carbon dioxide is in the atmosphere is?
.04 % .04% up .01% from .03%
Anything below .03% plant life dies.
What's the percentage of that .04% is human activity you might ask?
11% of .04%, a very small percentage.
And morons want to wreck shite over this and people are buying it

Because it isn't about carbon or the climate, it's about the destruction of the West.

Climate control is a psyops and the west is the only one falling for it.
Gender fluidity is a psyops and the west is the only one falling for it.
Immigration is a psyops and the west is the only one falling for it.
Etc, etc, etc.

Typical Marxism. The only way they know how to make the weak strong is to artificially make the strong weak.

Our fricked up governments are the ones inventing this bullshite, or in illegal immigration’s case, allowing it to happen. “The powers that be” are making more billions, and 50% if the population is happily writing the check, or forcing us to write the damn check.

We are in a carbon famine.
Trees need carbon.
It is my understanding that trees
have to produce an enzyme to protect themselves from “oxygen poisoning,” and that producing it to the degree that they currently are is stressing the trees.
Lastly, an increased amount of carbon allows the trees to better handle drought.
It would seem as though the increase in CO2 is why arid areas are “re-greening” with no discernible difference in rainfall.
In short, we are being lied to.

Who cares about carbon? Not me.
Criteria pollutants yes. Carbon dioxide and water vapor, no.

We need to end the attack on coal plants…. Let them run again.
Posted on 12/3/23 at 11:54 am to trinidadtiger
And we’ll pay China and India billions to remain on coal, while we have rolling blackouts.

Climate Change is Marxist propaganda. It is nothing but the defeat of the US. China is defeating the US every day by utilizing the Leftist. China will defeat the US by not firing a shot. The US will not have any energy stockpiles and our infrastructure will be easily destroyed when needed.

For those with the money to drive the narrative, yes. However, there are looooots of suckers who have bought into it enough to think they are actually accomplishing something but trying to punish western countries (ie: places where they do not risk nearly as much as they would if they were trying this in/against China).
