There is so much talent on the west coast it’s ridiculous

Talent that UW isn’t getting.

Look at the list of top players out west right now. Basically none are seriously considered UW despite them winning. Their NIL game doesn’t seem to be that competitive

He could get more talent as a coach at LSU but a dude from South Dakota would much rather be in the NW than Baton Rouge.

Their NIL will step up with the move in conferences.

Look at their recruiting classes recently…it’s bad.

UW is about to make the playoffs for the second time. But, by all means, obsess about recruiting rankings.

There are more than enough resources there to compete, as has been proven.

UW is objectively a better job than A&M

surely UW is not a final destination job..

Why?

They’ve made the playoffs twice.

More than Florida or 8-4.

Pretty strong rumors out there that DeBoer has re-upped with UW for a big payday (well deserved).

As for recruiting/NIL, DeBoer's strategy has been to focus on the portal more than recruiting rankings. Wants to pay for guys with a proven productive history. Time will tell if that strategy is going to work.

The Seattle area … I am not talking about Seattle proper, big cities are what they are, I’m talking about the areas around it like up in Snohomish County where I have spent much time … is a freaking awesome place. Cost of living is astronomical compared to the South, but the scenery is beautiful, I’d weigh 600 pounds if I lived up there full time there are so many great places to eat, and the people are chill and friendly.

I was about to make this point. Florida? Zero. A&M? Zero. Hell, LSU, with all our success since 2001 has only been to the CFP 1 time. You’re never gonna build a Georgia or Bama at Washington, but with the right QB every few years, you can absolutely compete nationally.

I am interested to see how the move to the Big 10 affects the PAC teams. This Washington team has the perfect blend of explosiveness at the skill positions and they’re very physical, which should translate well to the Big 10 and their style of play. But somebody did make a good point about them having a lot of old guys, though. Easy to be physical when you have a bunch of 22-24 year olds playing. Will they be able to recruit the Midwest to continue blending that physicality with skill guys on the West Coast? Will those guys that don’t go to Michigan or OSU choose Washington, Oregon, USC, or UCLA? Are there enough to go around? Will 1 of the PAC teams emerge as the “winner” of the move? Will it make more powers or dilute them all?

Let’s see what he does moving forward first. He’s got 26 fifth and sixth year players on the depth chart. That’s an absurd amount.

Yep going to be a cliff they fall off next year. Not saying they go 4-7 but tough road ahead.

Eh I'm wary of PNW guys in the SEC considering how McElwain and Harsin flamed out.

If I had a choice between living in Seattle or College Station or Gainesville...
.or Baton Rouge, or Athens, Salmon and scallops and Coldwater oysters as well as the occasional abalone it is.

Plus the scenery is first rate with a stadium on the shore of Lake Washington. ..... what, I should rather the farmland in College Station?

He wins the NC or makes it to the game, he stays and no amount of money from bourbon swilling boosters in the SEC will convince him to leave.
