Tulane has righted a lot of wrongs in the past two years.
However, I have a bad feeling about this new hire (assuming this rumor is true)...

It’s true. Fritz’s son is on Twitter recruiting for Houston… working with Eman Naghavi (Fritz’s former line coach who is currently at UH)

Maybe so but Wesley Fritz isn’t posting or liking anything Houston related that I see…

Love Fritz just thought he’d hold out for a better job.

The president did that, not the athletic Director. Big donor Scelfo talked him into his brother. We’d have been better off, keeping her as athletic Director than the clown we hired.
This is the business we have chosen. Just need to go out and hire a good coach. The discipline without being a drill sergeant, and the careful recruiting will be hard to replace.

Heartland College Sports

Here is as good a link about Willie going to Houston as it can get without pay walls.

It's a SA reporter - which is curious.

IDK, he was gone last year until he wasn't and then he got a raise.

I know Willie was almost gone to Georgia Tech and backed out.

Houston is different. The first raise came from Houston, not Tulane. Tulane is thought to match the raise.

Houston is not New Orleans. Willie's daughters and family live in Houston. They were waiting for an opportunity like Willie to move to Houston...permanently.

I like Willie for Houston because I don't think he is looking to move up if he succeeds in Houston like he did at Tulane. At 63, Willie and his family do not want to move anymore.

If Willie gets 4.5 million and succeeds in Houston, he will get a raise in three years without moving. Tulane can't do that.

Houston would love to get a coach to succeed and STAY in Houston like Kelvin Sampson.

For Houston, I hope Willie goes and succeeds.

Jeff Traylor would also succeed at Houston, but Traylor would be looking to move from a G-5 to a P-5. This is why I like Willie over Traylor.

At any rate, I hope Houston succeeds. It helps the whole city.

Isn't that why Tulane isn't in a power of 5 conference?

This and tearing down the old stadium are too of the biggest screw ups in college football.

All of the Tulane insiders I have spoken to are adamant that Fritz is staying.

My main source told me “I would be shocked if Fritz leaves”

Either they are hitting the copium or there might be something here

Tulane is a stepping-stone job for everyone. It's a tale as old as time.

Fritz is old and Houston isn’t a much bigger step for the time he has left to coach. Assuming Tulane pays him.

So why is Wesley Fritz recruiting for Houston on Twitter like you posted?

Sorry to ask this here, but thinking you might be more willing to see this. Could you come help me again on the Fark board. Appreciate you.

Tulane board: Tillman Fertitta jet, tail number N625GN just left for NOLA. So unless Willie has a big change of heart, he’s gone.
