Ok 2 of my favourite things. Turnpike and meateater podcast. Good interview by rinella especially at end where they go into recent Turnpike history and comeback. Good to see felker engaged and find out some history on him. Hope Turnpike play in the NE sometime, would love to see them.
Also posted on music board. Felker did a solo version of bird hunters.

Evan Felker is a good dude and a solid Oklahoma baw. My wife's cousin is very good friends with him. He played a lot of the bars around the area I live at now.

We had rented a house for 8 of us in Ft Worth for his concert at Billy Bob's. But my wife broke her foot so we might not go.

Rinella talked to much, other than that it was pretty good. That live rendition of Birdhunters was unreal.

Not going to see them in Bossier city back in like 2017 is a major regret. He played the bird hunters I saw. Song never gets old.

They were supposed to play the varsity but they went on hiatus right before the concert. I'm still bummed.

It's wild that LA can't get someone like Turnpike to play here. I'm on the text alerts and every time I'm disappointed because it's never anywhere close. I have to go to Houston or Nashville.

RIP to the turnpike that they named their band after. The old Indian Nation Turnpike here got renamed to State Highway 375.

I've seen them many times. They are legitimate honky tonk legends in the small towns of SE Oklahoma.

I liked him better when he was on the booger sugar!
Lol jk love me some turnpike. Saw them twice at the Varsity in BR. They've gotten too big to play there now but I'd like to see them again soon.

I was there both shows, too. He was sober for the second one. It wasn’t nearly as good.

It goes by both names. The 85 mph section is worth the toll.

Saw them a few weeks ago in Tallahassee. They were awesome. Bird Hunters was my anthem as I moved back home last year. They made the many trips and many hours moving enjoyable.

Pretty decent Pod that could’ve been much better. 100% on Rinella talking too much. Nobody gives a shite how much you and your buddies drank in HS.

I remember being near the front row for one of the varsity shows and his eyes were stuck wide open and lit up like a Christmas tree. Great show.

I was there too. Great show.

Best show I’ve seen from them was at Hogs for the Cause in NOLA. Caught both shows at Red Rocks last year too

Gone are the days of seeing them for $10-20. Saw then last at Hwy 30 in Idaho last year. Most people in attendance didn’t know them, by the 5th song it was like a rowdy TX show.

Got to finally see them at the Houston Rodeo last year...tickets were a tad more than that. Would have loved to see them in a venue like The Varsity!
