No matter how rough a situation may be, because of too many responsibilities, tragedy, or loneliness, I don't let anything ruin my day.

Take a deep breath, move on.

Depends on what kind of stresses you’ve had. Many adults don’t realize it but they are still dealing with problems that could have happened from early childhood.

Days of real men like Gary Cooper are gone. Whatever happened to the strong, silent type? Today’s men are in touch with their feeling, you can’t shut him up now, and are part of some victims group

People would feel a lot better if they deleted tik tok and went for a walk outside.

Sounds a lot like you have zero emotional investment in anything.

I'm sure if you were in a fiery crash with your whole family and you were the lone survivor with 75% of your body charred to a crisp and paralyzed from the neck down you'd be perfectly fine.

I would have agreed with you 100% up until I started going through a divorce this year, it is an entirely different level of stress that is even tough for me to manage at times, but I manage (so far).

I agree that is how I deal with things but to just dismiss mental illness like depression as something that can be overcome with rational thought is naive.

I used to think the same as you until I actually spent time around some depressed people. It has nothing to do with rational thought. Its a sickness that is hard to overcome.

Nope, most psychopaths, borderline or narcissist people have no feelings or insight to their emotions or others

No, you're not the only one. Gotta love the responses that assume you live a blessed life bc you're not a whiny, wallowing in self pity beta.

News flash, life's hard and sometimes shyte sucks. Some people simply can't deal with any sort of adversity.

The OT this week is making everyone want to get a good look at the inside of their oven.

go to work one morning a normal, healthy, and active 40 year old.
and have a heart attack mid morning due to a previously undiagnosed hereditary condition.

then have double bypass surgery 2 years later.

less than a year later, have your shoulder (dominant side) completely rebuilt.

so in just under 3 calendar years, go from still active and playing sports to a shell of your former self not capable of half of what you once could.
