No matter how rough a situation may be, because of too many responsibilities, tragedy, or loneliness, I don't let anything ruin my day.

Take a deep breath, move on.

Depends on what kind of stresses you’ve had. Many adults don’t realize it but they are still dealing with problems that could have happened from early childhood.

Days of real men like Gary Cooper are gone. Whatever happened to the strong, silent type? Today’s men are in touch with their feeling, you can’t shut him up now, and are part of some victims group

People would feel a lot better if they deleted tik tok and went for a walk outside.

Sounds a lot like you have zero emotional investment in anything.

Then they need a therapist. Parents divorced at a young age, physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, can have long term damages to people and they don’t even realize it

I'm sure if you were in a fiery crash with your whole family and you were the lone survivor with 75% of your body charred to a crisp and paralyzed from the neck down you'd be perfectly fine.

I would have agreed with you 100% up until I started going through a divorce this year, it is an entirely different level of stress that is even tough for me to manage at times, but I manage (so far).

I agree that is how I deal with things but to just dismiss mental illness like depression as something that can be overcome with rational thought is naive.

I used to think the same as you until I actually spent time around some depressed people. It has nothing to do with rational thought. Its a sickness that is hard to overcome.

Let me tell ya something. Nowadays, everybody's gotta go to shrinks, and counselors, and go on Sally Jessy Raphael and talk about their problems. What happened to Gary Cooper? The strong, silent type. That was an American. He wasn't in touch with his feelings. He just did what he had to do. See, what they didn't know was once they got Gary Cooper in touch with his feelings that they wouldn't be able to shut him up! And then it's dysfunction this, and dysfunction that, and dysfunction vaffancul!

The entire mental health industry has less credibility than dowsing for water.

Nope, most psychopaths, borderline or narcissist people have no feelings or insight to their emotions or others
