But you forgot Texas beat Bama by 10 in Tuscaloosa and head to head is one of the Committees factors.

And Texas lost to OU
and SEC championship > Big 12 championship

So? Is OU in line for a playoff spot or is it between two teams that played head-to-head? Why have a season if it's just reputation and politics?

Aside from the fact there are already several threads on this topic, he has Texas winning next week then does not have them in the playoff in favor of a team they beat ON THE RAOD by double digits and a team that would have lost the CCG. He’s obviously a Bama tard trolling

OU isn't in contention though, they have at least two losses.

1. Michigan (13-0)
2. Florida State (13-0)
3. Oregon (12-1)
4. Texas (12-1)

It would be really shitty for the SEC to be shut out in that scenario. But they're not going to leave undefeated conference champs out of the playoffs; they already value Oregon as the highest one-loss team; and Texas has head-to-head over Alabama. Seems like it would be quite the leap for Oregon to be the top one-loss team right now, win their grudge match against Washington, and then somehow fall behind both Texas and Alabama and be left out.

Please ignore Texas’ loss to a team that’s not even in contention. It doesn’t matter, I promise!

What part of head to head do you not understand? If OU was 12-1 and in a different conference they would go over Texas, they are not so it doesn’t factor in.

Looking at the entire resume, a one loss SEC Champ > one loss Big 12 champ.

65-7

Not when the Big XII Champ won head to head this season at the SEC Champ

You’re putting the entire evaluation on one game while ignoring Texas’ loss and that SEC > Big 12 this year and every year for the last 15+ years.

Oh, and 65-7.

Are we supposed to ignore the fact that Bama should have lost to Auburn today if not for a miracle?

Yeah, that’s how head to head works dum dum. Also why Ohio state is out of it now.

You see this is where Texas messed up. They BEAT Bama and have the head to head win. Whereas they should have LOST that way they could say their loss to Bama is better than bamas loss to (let’s say they lost to A&M) and therefor since they lost to a top ten team they deserve to be higher

If Bama beats UGA in Atlanta they should be in.

Tejas should be the odd one out regardless of any scenario. They should only get in if FSU or Michigan loses

Bama barely squeaked by a 4-8 Arkansas in Tuscaloosa and needed a 4th down miracle at the end of the game to avoid an upset to 6 win Auburn. Bama isn’t getting the same benefit of the doubt from the committee that they’ve got in years past.

In OP’s scenario, the SEC is very likely left out of the playoffs. Michigan and FSU are in as undefeated P5 champs. Oregon is already sitting at 6 and will have a win over a 12-0 team in the conference title game to hang their hat on. Texas is already ranked ahead of Bama and will have the advantage of a 2 score h2h win over Bama in Tuscaloosa.

Don’t let your SEC bias blind you. Bama as the SEC champ is far from guaranteed a playoff spot unless either FSU, Michigan, or Texas get upset in their CCG

May not seem fair, but FSU is no longer a playoff caliber team.

1. Michigan
2. FSU
3. Oregon
4. Georgia or Texas

Will happen:

1. Michigan
2. Oregon
3. Georgia
4. Bama
