Grandson shot his first ducks last weekend

He's a little pumped..
5th generation outdoorsman..



My son hunts down near Port Comfort TX. Been knocking them out this fall.

410. My son said it’s impossible to find legal shot for that shotgun. I don’t know much detail as I don’t hunt. My son said he talked all the way to the blind starting at 3:30 am! He was wound up.

Hoping to get my son on his first this year as well. Bismuth for .410 is insane.

Reloading or shot swapping is the answer to the 410 price and availability problem.

I don't expect him to be shooting the .410 long enough to be worth gearing up for reloading.

My son helped him shoot the 12 gauge. I remember my dads old 12 gauge tried to take off my shoulder ha.

That's awesome man!

My son took a trip to the Wax this past weekend and killed his first limit of ducks on his own. Had 3 Greys, 2 Wigeon a GW Teal and 12 coots.

I was close to your grandson’s age when I went on my first duck and goose hunts with my father just up the road from there in LaWard. 40 years later I still remember exactly how he must feel. Thank you for the smile.
