Damn that was good on the big screen. So fast-paced you dont' realize two hours have passed when you look at your watch.

The poor mother. She had a sweet daughter The tragedy of how Tony ruined that family.

I will probably get downvoted for this.

It is a terrible movie. Yet, I always watch it. His accent is awful.

I like Al Pacino and Brian DePalma but I've never liked Oliver Stone either as a screenwriter or director. Outside of some catchy dialogue, I thought the script for the movie was terrible. Pacino and DePalma try their best to elevate the script but it just wasn't a very good movie.

The duality of Tony was so well done by Pacino.
And the comedic moments are very underrated, overshadowed by the darkness of the story.

It's a high-end B-movie that (let's face it) gets boring once he gets rich and is the paranoid kingpin.

As a IDGAF 80s movie , I wouldn't have been surprised if Ninjas showed up in the third act to take him out.

I think the movie has aged well because it’s campy and since about 2000, it’s developed a cult following.

But I have to tell you… back in the day it was perceived as a movie that was not that good. Violent, but shallow and soulless. That was the general perception.

Just watched it on Netflix but, yes, it was a great movie. Money/drugs really ruined lots of people and Tony‘s entire family and friends’ network.

I worked with a guy in the mid-1990’s who came to the U.S. from Lebanon. He said he learned a lot of English by watching and re-watching a VHS tape of Scarface. He could recite the dialog for different scenes and spiced up an otherwise boring corporate job. Oddly, his favorite quote was “Marta, hello.”

Can't believe all of the hate for this movie. Sounds like a lot of people had no idea what Miami was like in the early eighties. Watch a documentary. Over the top money, bloody violence, and cocaine were the norm. A movie had to be over the top to properly portray it. It was an exciting movie about the real life bastardization of the American dream. And Michelle's tits were nice and perky and she was at her hottest. Manolo was absolutely hilarious throughout and that role probably got him (Steven Bauer) the Don Eladio role in Breaking Bad.
