First glance at thread title had me wondering who was killed in action in Telluride.

Sounds like a normal Bama relationship. The closer kin and all. We don't need any more three eyed gumps, so use protection.

The KIA Stinger is pretty fire. If it had a BMW logo on it you wouldn’t think twice.

It’s a good brand with a great warranty.
I hate that they cancelled the Stinger

Think of them as a Toyota bought on Wish

Test drove one 3 years ago. Not bad, but the buttons felt cheap, after test driving other suvs. Bought a low mileage Lexus GX for less than the telluride costs new.

Warranty length is overrated. I would prefer not having to use a warranty at all. And I’ve read their warranty can be voided if you do your own oil changes or have other things done at a non dealership shop.

Had a 2017 Santa Fe with 72k miles on and the engine failed, completely. Had to replace engine and luckily was covered under warranty. Took about 6 weeks to complete due to the long line of other Hyundais getting engine replaced. Once it was done, sold car to Hyundai dealership that fixed it and then got a Toyota Grand Highlander. That’s my only experience with Hyundai as my wife got it before we were married. Toyota and Honda may not have some of the bells and whistles of new Hyundais and Kia but they’ve earned their reliable reputation.

lease return GXs are an unbelievable value. Just gotta be cool with it being slow AF, meh fuel mileage and an audio interface that still calls my phone an iPod.

We need a new midsize SUV. We haven't started looking at them at the dealerships yet because we are waiting until 1Q 2024 when some of them are available. We are currently planning to look at the 2024 models including but not limited to the GMC Acadia, Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Grand Highlander, Honda Passport, Honda Pilot, Subaru Outback, Kia Telluride and the Hyundai Sante Fe.

Just getting started looking online. Just some of my initial thoughts. The newly redesigned 2024 GMC Acadia looks really good inside and out, and is stacked with great features, probably better than all of these other models in my opinion so far given first looks. If you haven't seen the 2024 GMC Acadia, check it out on YouTube. The redesigned 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe looks way too radical. The Honda Passport will fit better in our garage but is less equipped and a more mundane design compared to the Acadia.

What are your thoughts on any of the makes/models I mentioned above, good or bad?

Kia is a cheaply made car. Engine and transmission are fine but everything else falls apart or breaks.

Stick with Toyota or Honda. Maybe Subaru if your wife has, well, tendencies to stare at other women. Will save you a lot of headaches.

Hyundai owns about 1/3rd I think but they operate separately.

They still share their product lines across just about all segments. The Hyundai Palisade is the Telluride and vice versa.
