Doing push ups every day.

Can you do push ups every day even though you are doing chest and arms twice a week. Would it be too much?

Yes. Look into the Greyskull frequency method.

As long as you balance them with mid back work, fine.

I wouldn't advise this

I do like 200 every day
I’d say it makes a big difference in the way you look pretty fast as far as building lean muscle plus I’m at work
ETA: I do like 25 pull ups too

Add a steady diet of eggs and you should see positive results.

Yes because you have a constant pump. Which has no bearing on whether it is a good training program for hypertrophy or strength.
90+% of programs incorporate rest days for muscles because it’s important for a number of reasons. If training to failure, you probably need several days (at least 2, 3-4 seems to work best for me) rest between workouts. If you’re not training to failure, I would still incorporate a rest day between workouts for that muscle.
If you’re trying to get fit or lose weight do cardio

You do you but real workout brahs get depressed on days they don’t go to the gym
ETA: cardio
Just don’t rest at the gym and tie up all the racks and machines by moving from muscle group to muscle group rather than resting

I'm 62 if that matters. But I like to feel that pump and I probably won't be doing too many every time.

If you did 200 push-ups everyday for a month straight, your shoulders would be fricked and you would barely be able to train chest. Unless you’re trying to become a navy SEAL, 50-60 push-ups is all you need if you want to build a huge chest and upper back and not risk injuring yourself

They’re called bro splits for a reason

No one is building a huge chest doing pushups. Get back to filming your gay tranny husband perform devious acts and let the normal individuals of society discuss health and fitness.

It’s not about building a huge chest it’s about overall fitness
Dudes on here be wearing size 42 pants and think it’s all muscle because they can bench 200
200 push ups is a good way to burn 400 calories and change the way your upper body looks plus I do them at work when I couldn’t work out otherwise

no they woulndt, stfu with this stupid shite.
A) nobody is building a big cheat with basic pushups. not enough progression. can be done but not with basic pushups
B) 200 pushups is perfectly fine if done correctly. cant just jump straight to that number
OP: if you are feeling a pump from the pushups, you are doing too many. take your max and start doing 10 sets throughout the day at about 1/3 that max number. slowly add reps.
but you need to be rowing or facepulling just as much for shoulder health.

I do 35 at a time and for 6 sets spread throughout the day
ETA: and pull ups til failure

Not correct. I do 300 push ups and 600 ab exercises every single morning, and then hit the gym in the afternoons. Been doing this for 3 years. Now, it’s just basically a really good stretch to start the day and I feel great.
You do need to be in good technique or you can hurt your shoulder.

My boss is one of those obsessive types. He decided to quit drinking alcohol, start waking up at 5AM every morning (he drank a lot and worked until 3AM when I first started working for him) and get into shape. He was never obese or really out of shape but he wasn't as committed to fitness like he is now.
He decided to take the health seriously. He's doing 100 pushups, 100 core workouts, and 100 crunches starting at 5AM. We also hit the gym 3 or 4 days a week on lunch. I'm absolutely novice to training, so I have a lot of learning to do, but seems like a recipe for burnout. But he's been doing it for 2 months now and he's absolutely leaned out and is bulking up so appears to be working. He's also hammering the protein on the nutrition side daily.

I’d be careful on the volume you start with. I’m fairly well trained but jumped right into a 10k push-ups in 30 days challenge and tweaked my shoulder. The results were undeniable by the end of 30 days though, chest and shoulders got big
