he says he is here to discuss - but all he does is post shite, and never actually discuss anything. discussion is, at the very least, showing the ability to at least acknowledge counter points - but he is incapable of doing that. he thinks he is right and the smartest person in the room.

just leave him to his delusions.

Biggest reason may be that to start a rebuild you have to admit that you were wrong and we’re not 1-2 players away from being a SB team. And to top it off, the front office put the team in such a shitty spot with these contracts that they really can’t start a rebuild because it’ll probably take a few years. Too many bad years, and heads start rolling; which now enters the part of the conversation where they’d need to stop putting their needs (keeping their cushy jobs) over the team.

No need to rebuild.....ever. that's what bottom dweller losers do.

The Jets and browns have been rebuilding for 30 years. Deciding to "rebuild" offers no guarantees. They pile up high draft pics and still suck

No thanks

You aren’t wrong. There is absolutely zero guarantees a rebuild works. Drafting a franchise qb is a lottery. I honestly don’t understand why people are so hung up on a rebuild. If the saints blew it up they may be complete dog shite for 20 years. With what they are doing now you have a chance at least

It’s the post katrina/Brees fans that believe we should be 2009 good every year and that we are guaranteed a HOF qb when we rebuild. They have no idea how bad we were prior to that/How many years we would have fricking killed to be leading the division this late in the season. Fugg em

exactly.

there will be "tough decisions" on players that they covet and may have misevaluated.

but at the same time, they aren't folding for shite. Because "their" way works.

There's no reason to guarantee a shitty 3-5 years when your division is currently terrible and you have potential to host a playoff game/win 3 games to make the super bowl. If we were in the AFC North the rebuild would have already started. You people that want to tank while we are winning the division are legit fricking retarded.

But that is my point...What is the point...So the Saints win the division in 2023, 2024 and 2025. The are the 4th seed and host the 5th seed which is likely the 13-4 or 12-5 Cowboys or Seahawks...Maybe 2 times they win that game but they are not then going to SF or Philly and coming back with a "W" and then doing it again next week.

In the NFL you fall into three places.

1) Super Bowl Champs
2) Ascending to Championship Level---This last for a few years and then ends...We were here 2010-2017.

3) You are rebuilding...Winning just gives you a worse draft pick and a harder schedule the following year.

Yes winning the division and next year you get Philly, San Fran, Detroit guaranteed.

Can you point to any examples in the last 20 years where a team that would be below average in any other division in football....they won their shitty division and actually won 3-4 games in the playoffs?

People are legit retarded around here

MuH rEbUiLd - like that guarantees anything. Oh you’ll for sure hit on every single draft pick!

Meanwhile, we have a very good core group of players (Saints HOF level) that will forever hate this franchise if we give up like the losers around here want us to do

3 reasons

1) committed money
2) over confidence in salary cap manipulation
3) rudderless ownership

9-7 giants got in as a wild card. Won it all under .500 or at
.500 much of the season.

I looked, we're so fricked until 2026.
Even with the restructures bound to occur this upcoming offseason, it won't be until 2026 we can cut some of the bad contracts or they're at the end.

LOTS of borrowed money, but contracts for bad players really hurt right now. You're paying top money for bottom tier players.

3) rudderless ownership

Too hands on (Jerry Jones) is bad, but how hands off she is...concerning because it leaves her 2 FO in charge

People act like blowing it up and rebuilding is such a sure fire way to be successful. It takes a lot of time and patience which doesn’t exist in the NFL typically. We can do a soft rebuild while also continuing to compete in a weak division.

There’s also no reason for a rebuild to take 3-5 years. The Texans were a disaster the last 2 seasons and currently 4-4 and have a better outlook for 24 and 25 than the Saints

Lol if the saints lose this board will be flooded with negativity and most of y’all will go back under your rock. Saints win and I’m still here. Most of y’all’s points on rebuilds are spot on. I really don’t think the saints have to rebuild. I just want to draft a mfckin QB. I’d rather be bad and have a chance to be great, over being barely mediocre

The people calling for a rebuild are also the first to complain when the team loses or doesn't win by 50. If the saints truly blew it up to rebuild, these people would be posting all over the place that they team was terrible and everyone should be fired.

That's what they do. No matter what happens, whether it be a big win, a small win, an ugly win, a close loss, an ugly loss, a big loss, a game stolen by officials, or a bye week, they find a way to argue that everyone should be cut and fired and that by doing this a Super Bowl team will magically arrive by osmosis.

They also are the ones that always argue that the key ingredient to an undefeated season is the guy that just got released from the practice squad.

Finally, they put things like "legit question" in the subject line because they know that their asinine gobbldy-goop is neither legit nor a question, just trollish drivel.

There are no guarantees but it does not take “a lot of time” if it does then your front office is incompetent and your screwed anyway
