FDA approves Mounjaro for weightloss- called Zepbound

Just to trigger the OT this afternoon.....
So FDA finally approved Lilly's Mounjaro(tirzepatide) for weightloss. which means many that where having to pay out of pocket will have this covered by insurance now. So far this is the most effective of the GLP-1 class weightloss drugs as Tirzepatide contains ingredients that activate GLP-1 plus GIP hormone receptors. Big news as this is much stronger with less sides than traditional GLP-1 like wegovy.

Nothing in life is free. I'd be scared shitless of a pill that makes me lose weight without a corresponding lack of appetite.

“Zepbound”?
Sounds like a ticket on the Hindenburg.

Fat Strannix will be first in line for this pharmaceutical. Crazy times.

People should be careful of what they are putting in their bodies with these miracle drugs.
I know someone who got on this drug and lost weight but it has caused everything else about her health to go all out of control. The prescribing doctor has taken her off and still can’t normalize things.

Isn't that what it does though? Just make you not want to eat?

48 lb average is ridiculous. I would look like an Aushwitz survivor if I dropped 48 lbs.

its a shot and makes you feel like you are full. you still eat, you just dont get the dopamine rush like so many fatties crave from food
i am all for these medicines but only if the person is willing to make very very specific lifestyle changes as in diet and lifting weights and step counts and is willing to take a long term approach on this and stay on minimum dosing as long as possible.
this reduces sides and maximize results and actually allows people to not have to stay on for life
until they banned peptides at start of the month, i also suggest people that take this start a BPC/GHRH/GHRP protocol to help with loose skin, stomach issues, overall health and anti aging.
but in the end without the lifestyle changes, the shot is just a bandaid.

I have no idea. I've only varied from sticklike to healthy looking my whole life. Got a buddy on Zempys that still eats like a fricking horse and he's lost 30lbs. Figured it was something along the same lines - probably shouldn't speak out of ingnorance.
There are much better, funner drugs for appetite suppression, though.

only the ignorant that dont understand how these work think that
not like they are new, just new to being allowed to being prescribed for weightloss. been around well over a decade for diabetes.
like i said though....no lifestyle change=life time on the medicine or gaining it all back.
