Nearly all of Hunter Biden’s bank records subpoenaed by House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) are in the hands of the committee, Comer said Friday.

The near conclusion of the subpoena process signals the committee’s next step of requesting the Bidens appear before the committee under oath.

quote:

Comer subpoenaed the personal and business bank records of Hunter and James Biden on September 28 to investigate the link between Joe Biden and his family’s foreign deals.

Speaking with Lou Dobbs on the The Great America Show with Lou Dobbs, Comer confirmed the committee subpoenaed Hunter Biden’s bank records. “We’ve gotten almost all the bank records in,” he said.

It’s been a long process because, Lou, he [Hunter Biden] has so many bank accounts,” Comer said, explaining the complexity of the process. “He would have one shell company with a dozen bank accounts.”

Comer, a former bank board member, accused the Bidens of running a scam. “They laundered money,” he said.

Because we got these bank accounts, we’re very close to bringing in the Bidens,” Comer said about demanding their testimony. “I would say it’s a matter of days before they get served.”

quote:

Comer said the outstanding bank records are relevant to the questions he hopes to ask the Bidens under oath. “I think that we’ve just about got enough bank records to where we can bring them in and ask them specific questions with specific hard evidence in the form of bank statements,” he said.

It might; this may just save the country. Imagine the cascading affect of plea deals.

Probably not, but maybe.

Not needed , instead more true GOPs with bigger balls and exposing those Rhinos before their constituents.

No more back door ,private votes make those Rhinos vote in public so their constituents can see their votes and if their votes are with the Dems then let them face being voted OUT.

Never going to happen. They will just not show up and the DoJ will not enforce any action for ignoring subpoenas.

So far none of this is anywhere near illegal other than a tax reporting offense. James Biden can do business with whomever he wants and can get paid whatever he wants. Lots of other American businessmen have done it. Also the transaction date is in 2017. Biden was not VP so we have transactions that have their genesis in China paid by one private citizen to another private citizen.

That will be the defense and it's all that is needed.

The FBI and DOJ have done nothing with this information, why would a congressional investigation change that?

But I’m interested if the DOJ investigates Tony Bobalinki like Hunter has asked?

The evidence has to be so overwhelming that the Senate's hand is forced or the people hammer the Senate for giving him a pass.

By slow playing this, maybe enough people will open their eyes.

Possibly, but it would be a civil beef at best. If there are transfers from Joe to James in the past close to the amounts mentioned then Comer's crusade falls apart

If Joe cannot prove these were actual loan reimbursements, then they were income to him. Did Joe and the Doc report the income?

Perhaps the laws are different down under?

But Biden is accused willfully avoiding >$200K in claimed income, using shell accounts and fake loans to hide money. In this country, that would constitute felony tax evasion, at a minimum.

I’m sure DOJ will go as hard at Biden as they have at Trump.
