If you have watched this franchise the past 5 years, and you aren't even slightly pissed off that we are 5 games in and we have a guy missing his 3rd game with "soreness" and another missing it for rest, both of whom are ALWAYS hurt and missing games, I don't know what to tell you.

Any anger or scorn is completely justified.

Im not hating on Zion but for that specific game I thought Jonas offensively and even defensively was playing better. We won so it doesn’t matter but just what I was observing.

Maybe not some dumbass who thinks his job is equivalent to a professional athlete. I guess you also wonder why your employer does not pay you $30 million a year for what you do either?

I'm sure teams could care less about the fines

“If a team violates any of the above rules, it is subject to a fine of $100,000 for the first violation, $250,000 for the second violation and $1.25 million for a third violation. A team will be fined $1 million more than its previous penalty for any violations beyond the third.”

- I highly doubt Gayle wants to be throwing away money.

Granted we won, but I knew it was going to be an annoying night almost immediately when we didn't post up Jval every single possession to start the game when he had Chet on him. It would have been virtually unstoppable for Val to score or set up a wide open 3 and we never even tried to go to it.

He was -7 with no other starter less than +8. He scored 20 points on 20 shots, and he got ten rebounds because the Pelicans shot 30% from the field and OKC 40%. And they don’t have a true center on their roster.

He didn’t even try, probably ten different times he didn’t get back on defense at all. Much less the times he was back and just didn’t stay with his guy. He was terrible, and I can’t believe people aren’t splicing these films and ripping him a new one nationally yet. It was disgusting and it almost cost us the game.

First half yes. Second half not as much. He definitely does this when he thinks he’s fouled and he needs to quit.

Without the attention Zion was drawing, CJ does not get the looks he gets.

This. I agree. I’m going to grudge watch. But I won’t be happy.

To be fair he was getting those looks with Jonas in the ball game too.

Well what if they win and sit Zion/BI? Would you still be upset? The whole point is to win and if they achieve that while resting the stars, isn’t that a good thing? If you’re going to the game I completely understand the frustration though.

We took a double digit lead in the second half with Zion on the bench behind Jonas and CJ. The second Zion came back in, that’s when OKC came back.

Then rest the whole team. The old guys that played last night were all on the same plane with issues. Have the same rest. What makes the 23 year that was in the best shape of his life anymore tired than Larry, Jonas, CJ? Get outta here with that bs.

Crazy thought, he could actually play so his hamstring stays loose instead of not doing anything and not stretching (by his own admission) so he could help avoid hamstring injuries.

I mean hes your highest paid and so called best player. You can’t just treat him like everyone else. I know people hate hearing that but thats the NBA- and honestly thats how it works in real life too. People more talented and paid higher, usually have different standards at a company(since people like using work analogies lol) Even the rest rule applies to a guy like Zion not CJ, JV.

You rest everyone, you don’t have anyone to play the game.
