any number of reasons. i have a cabinet full of rifles i need to get rid of, predominately because i never shoot them and i can use the money for other things. same reason i sold two boats in two years, i just am not as mad at the fish like i used to be

i really do wish there was a TD marketplace, but i understand why there isnt. i'd feel much more comfortable dealing with OBers than random genpop

maybe TD would allow a listing, ie: i have these items i'd like to sell, and then take it offline

What's the length? Can you provide a pic and the price?

How do you sell a boat? Seriously, I have a ski boat that I've been trying to offload. At this point, I would just give it away. Need the space for other things.

I've also been curious about this as I have a golden boy .22LR Eagle scout edition that I would like to move.

I took 2 guns to Cabela's yesterday to see what they would give me for them. The guy told me upfront they would only be able to give me 40-45% of what I would be able to get if I sold them myself. At least he was honest. Offered $225 for a rifle that he said I could get about $475 if I sold it to a private buyer or took it to a gun show to sell. Like another poster said they give you nothing for add-ons like laser sight on pistol and holster and extra clips. The 40-45% they will give you is based just on the gun itself. Any extras you are just giving to them.

Yeah that’s true. They wouldn’t give me a dime for the $40 holster that I bought from Basspro. So I sold that over Facebook.

I don’t know about the gun show part but finding a private buyer is the hassle that I want to avoid.

Selling to a private buyer is easy. I’ve sold a few AR lowers over the years.

Just go on Google and print out a gun bill of sale. Fill it out and have the buyer fill out their part. I always got a copy of their DL and added it to my copy of the bill of sale and filed it with my paperwork with my antique and relic license and paperwork.

That way you have proof of ownership transfer. You could go an extra step and get it notorized but I never did.

The hassle is in finding a buyer. I know there are websites but still.

I sell guns at Cabela’s, you will get the going rate on a trade or sale. We do get idiots that want MSRP on a used gun.

What are the payment terms on buying from a individual? Because they wanted Net 90 if I sold to them. I laughed and walked out.

why would cabelas (or anyone else) give you anything for a used 40 dollar holster? Who are they going to sell that to? What would you pay for it?

Who would buy it? Maybe the same person who buys the used Hellcat with the intention of carrying it. It’s a Safariland kydex holster made for the hellcat, which is made for carrying. A holster seems obvious.

I sold it for $15 on Facebook so it’s not a crazy idea that someone will need a holster for their hellcat
