There are celebrity deaths that suck and I get feeling a sense of momentary depression and loss because they actually did contribute in a way that made your life more enjoyable……but to act like a loved one in your life died is truly bizarre.
Please, get a fricking grip.

What's weirder - People crying over a celebrity death, or it bothering you so much you post an entire essay on how much it bothers you?
Your entire post makes you seem like a very weak, and unstable person.

How about when Mike the Tiger died?
That is more a family pet than a celebrity.

That show portrayed the male characters as a bunch of dumb witty simps who kept chasing their girlfriends for sex, and the female characters were portrayed as successful, independent women who babied their boyfriends.
Well said mate

I’ll say it. I got pretty upset when Skynyrd plane crashed. Didn’t cry. But was pretty depressed because of how great they were and would not be able to experience their greatness again.

Hey Geekboy- Have you actually seen someone actually cry over his death?
But your post shows insecurity and instability.
Why does it concern you or anyone else that has emotions or feelings relating to anything? Why would someone else’s world upset yours?
Your post makes me sad for you.

It's just the truth. I hated the show when it came out almost 30 years ago and I still hate it today. It had a massive influence on modern dating culture among millenial and late Gen X college grads

When John Prine died, I shed a little tear. Not because I knew him, but because his art made a difference in my life. All fans of the man's music felt like they knew him and that's part of what him special.

It shouldn't ever really get you. Bummed, sure, but, like you said, it's not like a close loved on passing.

Media plays it up and it affects susceptible people. I remember some news anchor talking about "America's outpouring of grief" over Anna Nicole Smith.

What about a grown man crying over the result of a football game of 18-23 year old men that he does not know or ever will know?

Now you've gone too far.

The state of Louisiana has no control over Texas fans.

What about people who cry over a fictitious character in a movie dying or just having a difficult time? Should they be institutionalized or neutered?
This still gets me every time.
