We can't even figure out how to license responsible drivers, I am a strong believer in 2nd amendment rights but there have always been limitations of one sort or another. I am hesitant to give the government too much power in any area but conversely, I do understand the thinking that we need to be realistic.

Unfortunately, I don't know how fixing any of this without creating other issues would be accomplished. Some people believe that humans are good by nature. I think they are selfish and sinful by nature. And therein lies the primary issue in every problem we have in society and always have had. People are always the issue, it's never the thing, whatever that thing is.
