I honestly expected we would end up with worse than McCarthy. I’m glad we got a real conservative who supports Trump. Kudos to Gaetz and those who held the line.
The great thing about the GOPe is they eventually fold if you fight them enough. In this case, the conservative wing fought and won.
First step back to getting the country back on track. Now we need to win the presidency and the Senate back

That was a real concern of mine too and as recently as yesterday. I'll celebrate today as the victory we hope it is. Time will tell if Johnson can get the job done. But I will not be shitting on him today or anytime soon. Today is a good day and we should all be thankful that.

Wasn't he thrown out as an option a couple weeks back? Someone able to remind why that didn't go anywhere then? GOPe was definitely in desperation mode when the other option was to pair up with Dems if Johnson didnt get thru. They e been getting beat up on the phones, so I'm sure the Dem option wasn't going to be good.
Also, someone remind me his stance Ukraine. Has he voted to fund them and what's he saying now? I'm sure it's in one of the many threads on him but figured I asked. I saw the Kristal meme, but wondering if he has voted no the whole time or not. TIA.

Johnson has since reviewed the Bongino rule about making statements.....I'm sure if he was asked today about St Floyd he would have a different view.
