So far absolutely nothing. Just read some reviews about the guy who started the company and some further reviews that it can start to have baffle strikes and other issues after so many rapid firing. Also read that there are better bangs for your buck.
But I don't shoot very routinely and rarely rapid fire. So I doubt I'll ever run into the issues others note.

Don't believe everything you read. I've got thousands and thousands and thousands of rounds through my Thunder Chicken without a single issue. All the people saying there are better bangs for your buck are paid advertising.

Fair enough. I'm absolutely not disappointed in the purchase so far. Just basing my $.02 on what I've discovered since purchasing.
And I may just be subconsciously trying to justify another silencer purchase, so don't crap on my parade too hard.

In that case, the Trash Panda sucks. You need to order something different ASAP

Is the noise level surpressed more dramatic with a round that's sound barrier close, like a 22LR or 9mm vs shooting a 556 or such that is already over the sound barrier by a fair amount. Or is it just catching the gas expansion and the round velocity itself plays very little into how loud.

Subsonic rounds have a noticeable decrease in sound because of the elimination of the super sonic crack.

That scope looks slick!

.45 long colt. Out of a single shot 16" barrel.

I’m not 100% sure what you’re asking, but a .22 LR unsuppressed is around 140 db, with a suppressor it’s around 112 db. A .223 unsuppressed is around 155 db, suppressed is around 130 db.
My suppressed .223 will still make my ears ring sometimes, but probably because I already have tinnitus. Bolt actions will make suppression more dramatic in any caliber.

Currently I’d have to say 38 special in my Big Boy X, loads of fun.

When I'm suppressed, just about any caliber will do, even my old marlin model 99 M1 22 cal with the tube mag. It just makes you feel better to pop a bunch of holes in a soda can from 50 yards.

That's what I was asking I think. I have heard that in 9mm the 147 gr is a better suppressed round vs 115gr. It's already under the sound barrier any way at 900-950 fps range.

Oh yeah, for sure, any subsonic round is going to be much quieter.

With a corresponding reduction in lethality.

Quit posting about something you don’t have any experience with. Nobody was talking about hunting/lethality anyway.

I have plenty of experience with the subsonic stuff, and it is not ethical to hunt with it in my opinion.
And yes there have been several posters brag about hunting with them.

If you want to “educate” everyone on the use of subsonics for hunting, then go ahead and start your own thread.
For someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing, sure, it’s unethical, but a blanket statement that subsonics can’t be used to ethically kill animals is wrong. That’s like trying to say bow hunting is unethical.

All good answers.
You have me curious how my CA Mesa will shoot in 300WM suppressed.
Tell me more about these 200 grain loads.
And to the goober that downvoted my original question

So my buddy was shooting federal terminal assent to see how they shot and get zero on the gun and they shot good. We then swapped to 180grain Barnes and they shot just as good if not better didn’t mic them but solid sub moa.
I’m ahooting a 150gr core lokt right now in my 300wm mesa and it’s sub moa haven’t shot it suppressed and it would be an unwieldy beast although at 9-10oz with the brake it’s not bad just loudddddd.
But that shorter barrel/suppressed on that FFt makes it just a dream to shoot that light gun.
