I wondered about that.
Glad to hear it; thanks for the clarification.
The Carolinas need to get with the program (assuming they haven’t already).

January 2024 special session is about to steamroll all the liberal laws that have been holding back our state, including denying our right to carry. Watch and learn.

I was in NC last weekend and saw several people open carrying, not sure about their laws though. I just know they honor Florida permits.

Constitutional Carry For Louisiana
How long before our new Governor makes this happen?
I know this is an important issue for some but not as important as taking control of our educational system away from the lunatics and brainwashers.
I'd like to start seeing some bills passed that say if you're shown to be teaching material other that your assigned curriculum, or manipulating the curriculum to trach about social issues you feel is more important that reading and math for example you'd be fires immediately without tenure and barred from teaching in Louisiana ever again.
I know, baby steps. Saving our schools is probably an impossible task so we'll have to be satisfied with low hanging fruit.

You do realize the CC acronym does nothing for you here right?

Where is most of the crime in your state and what is the primary cause of that crime?

So needing a permit to carry a gun in public in La is why we have a horrible education system
No, that would be
1) "parents" that don't care about their kids or their education.
2) Tenure and the Democrat run Louisiana Public School Board.
There's a reason why our private schools are light years better than our public schools here.

You can thank our idiots in government. While our legislature is mostly Republican and full of morons, local big city municipalities are Democrat run. Any tax breaks to an industry gets assaulted by low IQ republicans about "not fair" and sleezeball democrats have their hands out demanding kickbacks to build in "my parish/city/town".

and roads that are falling apart?
Short sightedness, no forward thinking is endemic of LaDOTD, and every DOTD secretary has higher political aspirations so they are looking for a homerun prestigious project to use for their future runs to say, "i built the bridge", when the bridge isn't needed or does not alleviate traffic issues. Also, Louisiana's political system is full of retribution. Don't support me on this bill, say goodbye to that highway funding.

I'm not all in on open carry. On the one hand, constitutionally we should all be able to carry. And to protect oneself against the animals in placed like New orleans, you can't wait for the police who don't give a shite. But, that being said, we have an overly stupid populace. I don't trust most of the idiots in this state to hold a dog leash, nonetheless hold a sidearm.

Get your concealed carry permit anyway
It also lets you buy a firearm and walk out with it in about 2 minutes. The background checks are so much quicker.

All of this is exactly my point. The majority of our politicians on both sides are rejects who have more self interest in politics than actually making a difference for the state. Add that to our vast population of idiots, and you get a complete mess. That’s why it’s dumb for some people to think constitutional carry is a top priority to fix the state. It would have 0 impact on anything.

Breitbart: AG Jeff Landry Says Louisiana Will Adopt Constitutional Carry When He’s Governor

What is “undue hardship” pertaining to with getting a $125 permit?
Because it's a fee to exercise a constitutional right. I have a LA CCP and absolutely support constitutional carry, it makes zero sense not to. I'll be moving to Arkansas soon and will get a CCP there because I frequently travel between AR, TX, LA, and TN but I like that AR is a constitutional carry state.
