“Slide shelf”(?) for Mitre saw

I have a 16” Dewalt mitre circular saw mounted to a workbench/work table in my garage and it sits a bit too close to the side on the left and my tool chest is on the right side… so I can’t really put anything in the saw… so I wanted to mount the saw on “slide out shelf” or something to allow the saw to slide our (and hopefully lock in either open or closed positions)
Hope that makes sense.
Just looking for ideas on the hardware I’d need

Well why the hell did you do that? Move the tool chest and put that Mitre saw in the middle like normal people do it

Depending on how precise you need to be, I think a slide out shelf for it might be a mistake. If your miter saw is anything like mine, it's not light, so it's going to be tough to come up with a solution that doesn't sag when you extend it out. Add the weight of whatever material you're cutting, and it's going to get difficult to keep it flush against the fence and get square cuts (unless you make your slide out shelf out of glued up 2x4s or a box or something). I just finished building my miter station a few weeks ago, and I just put the whole thing on casters. Not sure what your tolerance would be for that, but if it were me, I'd rather do that and keep the saw stable. Just roll it out a bit when you need to use it, and then tuck back against the wall when you're done.

Why not just get a proper portable fold up miter bench?

Do you have a picture of this beast? I have never seen a 16" Dewalt miter saw or even an old Dewalt radial arm saw that large but the RAS that big do exist. I suppose they may have made a cutoff saw that large but I haven't even seen that.

I have all my big tools (miter saw, planer, table saw) on rolling carts and just roll them around as necessary.

I would think that getting a "slide out" mount for a miter saw that is solid enough to ensure the precision that you typically expect from a miter is going to be costly compared to rearranging your setup or getting a separate table for the miter that is possibly portable on casters.

I have my tools like 12" miter, 14" planer, tablesaw, and router all integrated into my 4'x8' workbench, when I need I just open a door and the tool pivots up the level of the bench top (tablesaw is always exposed so the rest of the bench is the outfeed)

Should be able to get some heavy duty under mount slide hardware that you can mount some 3/4 ply to and put the miter saw on that.

Are you sure about that?
The only ones I have seen like this are radial arm saws but ones that large are usually 230V. I doubt you have a 230V radial arm saw.

I have a set of Dewalt miter saw stands, can mount any of my miter saws to them and made a platform with an extra set of mounts for my table saw. Do all my cutting outside to keep the dust out.
