As long as it doesn’t have multiple 5 minute long monologues that only teenagers think is deep and insightful every episode like Midnight Mass did.

I’m here for the ride and love all of Flanagan’s stuff but how many interracial, homosexual siblings can one cram into one family?
I swear I think they checked off every race for one family.

Mike split directing duties with Michael Fimognari on this one
His best stuff has been written, directed, and edited by Mike

Trailer looks very "bad white people"... Hope not. I've liked his shows.

Hopefully this is more Hill House than Bly Manor in terms of quality. HH was incredible, but damn BM was a hot mess.
ETA: I haven't seen Midnight Mass, so I'll need to get to that soon.

I like Flanagan's movies but his series have been slow and boring and really hard to get through. I like the idea of doing a Poe adaptation but not a modern version. Probably gonna skip this show.

“The house of usher is not in the business of blowjob whiskey bars”

How gory has it been? Trailer looked a lot bloodier and gory than his other series. Wife was a little dissuaded by the trailer since that isn’t really her thing.

Watched the first two episodes last night. I like it and will keep watching. But the end of the second episode gave me some pretty weird dreams.

Tons of F bombs, orgy/threeway sex. It’s like they’re trying to be American Horror Story

Holy hell, the most ridiculously woke cast I have ever seen from Netflix, and that is saying something. 30 minutes in to the first episode, and there is a black gay daughter in an interracial relationship, a black gay prosecutor with grandkids, an interracial marriage for one of the straight kids, and I think another lesbian thrown in. So absolutely ridiculous the number of boxes this series checks.

Thought it was a great series all the way through. And Carla Gugino is my age, 52. Still has the arse of a 23 year old.

Im 6 eps in and it’s been enjoyable.
I have no clue the reasons for the antagonist actions and looking forward to finishing it.

When she hurled the mic stand at the young wife, I laughed my arse off. I don’t know if that was intended to be funny or not but my wife and went back and watched it a few times laughing our asses off

I made it through thirty minutes and nothing of this show is remotely related to the Fall of the House of Usher story. Granted, it’s been 30 years since I’ve read it, but nothing other than the name relates to the original story. So you want to write a series about Purdue Pharma and their bullshite, fine, but why unnecessarily drag Edgar Allen Poe into this nonsense??? Call it Fall of the House of Purdue and be done with it.

Kate Siegel is straight FIRE this season.

5 episodes in and I’m really enjoying it. Not to the level of Hill House but better than Bly and Midnight Mass.
But like many have said, the forced diversity checklist is insane. I know Flanagan likes to use the same actors in his work, but it does take you out of the show a bit.
