In another threat people seem to think the committee would put one loss UGA in over us. I’ll tell you why they wouldn’t:

1. Conference championship
2. Head to head(in Atlanta)
3. Our loss would have been on the road in the SEC in September. I say loss because:

4. The biggest reason is Georgias schedule is an absolute joke. We scheduled top 5 FSU and they had Ball State. Committee will punish them for that if we win out.

Would 2 loss LSU get in over undeafeated B1G, Big 12, ACC, and PAC winners?

What if 1 or more of those had 1 loss?

I'm not saying it's impossible for LSU to get in and not georgia, but it is unlkely, IMO. It's also unlikely the scenario above occurs as well, which is why i do not think it is impossible, just that for everything to fall in place it seems unlikely.

People act like this isn't true, but it is in the OPS scenario. A one-loss SEC champ (Georgia and Bama in particular) would probably still get in over a 1 loss PAC or ACC team.

They scheduled Oklahoma and the SEC made them cancel it because they couldn't finish the home and home. You better believe if it came down to that Kirby will be reminding people

ACC had at least 3 wins over the SEC... miami>a&m, fsu>lsu, unc>usc. I don't think we can argue our conference is better. USC beating Clemson could help.

Also Oklahoma beating Texas helps, but a 1 loss Bama can't get in over a 1 loss Texas.

With 2 losses, I don’t think so.

The problem with your logic is that you assume a 2 loss SEC champ gets in over a 0 or 1 loss Big10, Pac12, ACC or Big12 champ. This is the year that doesn’t happen. Pretty dam good chance all that happens

I heard championships are won with defense. So there's that.

The B1G is the biggest issue IMO. They could very well have 3 teams that could cause a problem.

Michigan loses to Penn St in two weeks in Happy Valley
Penn St loses to Ohio St in Columbus
Michigan beats Ohio St in Ann Arbor
Michigan wins B1G CG

You'd have:

12-1 Michigan with a win over Ohio St
11-1 Penn St with a win over Michigan
11-1 Ohio St with a win over Penn St

Y’all, the point of my post was to show why we’d get in over Georgia, not these other teams

No 2 loss team is getting into the playoff. Some of y’all need to come to terms with that.

And let’s stop pretending winning out is a real possibility with how historically bad our D is. Best we can do is take it one week at a time and hope our D improves at least somewhat

Not when you're winning shootouts and not covering the spread and UGA is boat racing most of their opponents. The committee exists to give teams the "eye" test, not just records on paper.

Remember 2007? Or last year when we were in if we beat A&M and UGA?
