Hot dogs were good.

It might have been where u were sitting. Bc if u have a ticket in the south upper deck, it comes with all u can eat buffet.

Concessions were not even good enough for a high school game. They ran out of hot dogs before halftime and before that the selections sucked.
Beautiful scenery all around the area, small stadium, but seats were cheapish.
Really nice fans!!
Weird thing is we did not go thru any metal detector or any additional screening beyond checking our tickets, it was a good trip and beautiful scenery but game day experience lacked our usual experience and we won’t go back for football game. Kinda been there done that vibe!

I imagine the free concessions were part of trying to attract people to the stadium with, a normally, sub-par producton the field. Stadiums aren't trying to slam more seats in a dick measuring contest anymore either. It's more of a hinderance now since people are choosing to stay home as the fan experience has diminished and costs have risen. TS could easily upgrade this:
1. Renovate the unused space for more coolers, dry storage, and serving space. What they have now is terrible and poorly kept
2. Let restaurants pay a fee to use the serving space, dry storage, and coolers. You can still have your basic hot dog and nachos type places, but local establishments can now handle the quality upgrade. This would also be a great chance for new businesses to get in front of a massive audience
3. Beer vendors walking the stadium. Not sure if there is an SEC rule on this but our fans don't want to get up for a beer.

The free water bottles are a great idea. Water is really a necessity, especially in an early fall afternoon game.
I was in the LA Coliseum one afternoon and it was hotter than Hades. I had to buy these seven dollar bottles of water (made with aluminum rather than plastic to "protect the environment") to stave off heat exhaustion.

That's nothing unique to Mizzou.

This was one of my favorite road trips. The people were really nice. The campus was clean and had a nice layout. The berm and standing room only section were cool. We parked on the highway and were back at the hotel in no time. I attribute the low key atmosphere to the 11:00 kickoff kind of like TS can me for an early kickoff.

It’s like minor league baseball, they have to rely on gimmicks to keep fans interested. I don’t come to Tiger Stadium to eat, I come to watch big boy football. Tailgates provide all the food and drink I need.

Ok thanks for that explanation. We sat section 219 row 40…..didn’t see a single wristband so I was curious. That’s a nice thing for Mizzout to do in an attempt to fill the stadium. It seemed packed to me so good for them.
Excellent trip overall. We caught a shuttle at our hotel. Super easy. Inside the stadium they couldn’t keep cold beer or seltzers stocked. Pizza was def subpar. They just didn’t seem equipped to handle that crowd as far as concessions were concerned.

I was there, I never saw any wristbands. I didn’t care for the piped in music the whole game.

I was there. Bought a big tub of popcorn and 2 diet cokes. I saw no wristbands. Stadium was full and fans were polite and friendly. Stadium reminded me of”70’s era SEC stadiums with no bad upper deck seats. It was a good experience. I’d go back.

That’s called Club Seating and you pay well for it.

Meanwhile, water costs $5 in Tiger Stadium, and the cost for stale popcorn or a Tiger Dog is insane.
And on top of the high cost, what really irks me is the nonvoluntary "tip" that they add to your non-cash or credit card transaction.

Mizzou allows you to bring in one unopened bottle of water.
Cokes and water was $2.
Pre- and post-game traffic run by state troopers and was easy.
