Yeah this isn’t true for 90% of the stadium. However Cokes were still only $2 which shocked me.

A couple of other things:

Everyone we met was nice. Even their “shite talking” was good natured. But a large number of their fans are just bandwagon fans since Mizzou was 5-0.

They have no tailgating scene. None. We went to a Mizzou sponsored tailgate with our Mizzou friends - it started at 9. People didn’t even really get there until 9:30, and then it was basically time to go to the game. There were very few tents set up and no really large groups anywhere.

Their traffic management after the game is fantastic. They keep all of the traffic moving and get everyone off of campus as soon as possible.

The stadium is small. Plus it’s sunk into the ground which makes it seem even smaller. It was very clean though.

That's why TS is half full most games.

Only thing that confused me was the Mr Brightside song at the end of the 3rd. Any explanation for that and the “frick KU” chant? That seems like an extremely little brother kind of thing.

KU is their bitter rival.

Its smart. Makes a fan feel a little more than a sucker.
Kids can roam around not bugging dad who's trying to watch the game and stuff their faces. Those kids will remember good times and maybe come back.
It's all perspective.
LSU believes the fans need them.
Other stadiums believe they need the fans.

You must not have ever taken kids to a game, or suffer from dehydration, if concessions mean nothing to you.

How the hell does that work? It’s not a big money grab like LSU. Fans are actually appreciative and don’t feel like they are constantly being hosed.

It’s because this is only their second sellout since 2019. They try to get fans in the stadium any way they can. A very large number of the people in the stands were bandwagon fans since Mizzou was 5-0, and if they lose to KY this weekend then the stadium will go back to being half full.

Easiest travel to and from stadium. We took a free city transit shuttle from the hotel. It stopped at several hotels along the way. Dropped us off less than a block from the stadium and picked us up after the game. We were back at the hotel in less than 30 minutes. The parking garages downtown were all free parking on the weekend and the shuttles ran constantly back and forth. I realize there were only 70,000 people, but never seen anything so efficient.

THe campus was beautiful and immaculately kept. Students were walking everywhere on campus and into the downtown area which connected to the campus. Great atmosphere for a college town. CoMo was a nice little town. Scenic and so clean. Lots of walking, biking, sidewalks, green space. We never saw a sketchy part of town or homeless people.

I sure wish Broome didn't destroy the federally funded streetcar connecting downtown and LSU. Sure would make the hotel > stadium and back a shite ton easier and lighten the load on parking.

But it's Baton Rouge, if it doesn't help only certain people, we can't do it because it's racist.

You had an All-Inclusive ticket.

Mizzou Adds All-Inclusive Option At Football Games

The University of Missouri Department of Athletics continues reimagining the gameday experience at Faurot Field. It will add an all-inclusive option for fans in the 300-Level Tiger Deck for the 2023 season.

Fans who purchase season tickets in the Tiger Deck – starting at $210 per seat – will have access to all-inclusive concessions items, including complimentary hot dogs, soft drinks, and popcorn. Additional concession items will be available for purchase at the 300-level concession stands.

We didn't get a wristband when we entered the gate and we bought concessions. I did not seen anyone with a wristband

Mizzou is a lot better experience than I thought it would be. We hooked up with a great tailgate and had a lot of fun before and after the game. COMO is a cool town. I would recommend it for a game

When I said GTHOM after the anthem a couple of Mizzou fans said, you will find out who we hate in the 4th quarter. The KU-Mizzou hate goes back to pre civil war days

I sat in 301 and was given a wristband... never used it as the lines were too long. Was able to use the elevators to get to the upper deck with that wristband.

not sure what their athletic budget is, but I have to imagine that it's lower than LSU's. I have to imagine LSU puts more money into its programs than Missouri does.
