On burns pick six, which the game was over, 1st thing coach says is what he did wrong. I've seen this plenty of times this season. It's so sad.

I wish the staff would’ve got fired up and let Burns celebrate that one considering how bad they had played and how much of a relief that was for everyone, especially the players.

That’s what coaches do. Focus on the little things that may make a difference in a later game.

it's called coaching. If a player has a great result, but still did something wrong, shouldn't the coach point it out?

I mean, a great result doesn't cancel the need for honest critique.

CBK just mad cause he wanted to work on his clock game.

Maybe Burns thought winning was more important.

I thought the rule was --- always take the points.

Negative

The rule is "never take points off the board"

Fact: it was practiced and he was coached to and supposed to take a knee there. Game over. In the end it worked out but we had to give them another possession. He didn’t admonish him but it could have been a downer if Mizzou completed a long pass and scored. You would have a lot more to bitch about if that happened.

Don’t have a problem with this.

Nor do I have a problem with Burns running that one in.

Let him know what would have been a better decision and then congratulate him.

You’re right. Saban is constantly overlooking technique errors and teachable moments as long as the outcome is positive…

Ends justify the means, right? That’s certainly the key to improvement.

Does this board always have to find a negative with every fricking thing? There is no way in hell that Burns wasn’t taking that one in to clinch the game.

Damn. I thought we were ALREADY winning and Burns had a chance to completely shut the door. Did I get that wrong.

Look, if I’m Burns and I have a chance for a pick 6 I’m taking it too…but it would still technically be the wrong play.

With great coaches it's about every detail...getting your job done correctly on every play and trusting your teammates to do the same...

I'll never forget a Bama player interview when the young man stated that the difference with Coach Saban is we don't practice until we get it right, we practice to the point that we can't get it wrong...I believe BKs process/style is very similar to this statement.

Taking a knee was the correct response for that specific situation...do your job correctly everytime...

Kinda like that Miami RB still fighting for the extra yards on 3rd down against Ga Tech last night, right?
