I'd suggest that the original debt deal that structured 7T in additional spending over the next two years, giving clearance to the Dems until after the election helped the Democrats.

Dems voted for it because of virtue signaling and nothing more.
this could hurt dems as KM was giving them everything they wanted but they are built on identity politics. And these days, that identity is DO NOT WORK WITH GOP! Supporting KM would have been suicide for them in their elections because any opponent could label them as GOP supporters.
Dems didnt have much choice in this because they can't undo identity politics right now.

Ridding someone who isn't willing to fight at the negotiation table for the conservative demands is helping the democrats? I don't see it. I think ousting someone who bends knee to the other side for paltry "wins" is a good thing.

The establishment Republicans have hated Trump from day 1, because Trump's supporters don't just go along to get along. They want the Republicans to stop acting like uniparty members. They want them to stop saying conservative things and then voting for huge omnibus spending bills.
At the core of their strategy to maintain power is their willingness to give up their conservative principles because of the illusion that they have no choice and that if they don't vote for compromised spending bill, the world as we know it will end.

IF you have a majority, no matter how slim, and you go and make backroom deals with Democrats to get a pork pull pushed through... How is that not also "helping dems?"
