Bunch of people saying Sonic, my goodness. Those burgers are terrible. Shake Shack is a good call. Maybe not underrated but Five Guys has the best fast-food burgers.

Yeah, I'm not sure how Sonic is getting such praise, but one chain that I don't think has been mentioned, but has a good burger (at well-run locations) is the Big Jack from Jack's.

The last fast food burger I had was from Culvers, because I hadn't ever had a burger from there, before, and it is near my house here in south Florida.
It was very good. It was a Culver's Double Butterburger with bacon and cheese. I don't usually eat fast food burgers, these days, but I can't remember having a better fast food burger.

Scrolled 5 pages with no mention of Braum's, which may be because it's not prevalent in LA maybe? Great patty, cheese, bun and fresh veggies. The bacon is also thick crispy and top notch.

In my mind, I consider it underrated because, when I'm in BFE looking for a quick bite, I rate Sonic ahead of McDonalds and BK.

I NEVER eat fast food but when I have to I get a Big Mac but swap in the quarter pounder patties. Or a double Baconator with extra bacon.
If I'm really in a bind my go to is a double whopper with bacon and cheese. Sometimes I'll get the grilled cheese double cheeseburger from Sonic or a couple Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburgers from Jack in the Box.
But I never eat fast food.
