Steeples is the only one who has proven he can recruit the level needed. We could bring Raymond back and get rid of Cooks, which would be a really nice tandem. Kelly fricked up by hiring House - it’s a fatal flaw early on - from a scheme perspective and ability to communicate with his players who aren’t buying in. The best recruiter he had on defense? House ran off. Kelly is an executive and he will deal with it, but it’ll put him behind the 8 ball on developing the program to where we want it to be.

We need a recruiter, that is the facts. Totally agree he is an overrated coach, but we have to bring in recruiters. LSU is getting passed up in the talent department by 5 or 6 SEC schools starting in 2024.

Like I said if we do have the money and as you posted we do then it is not showing up on the field or recruiting.

LSU athletics has received second most overall donations behind only Georgia (IIRC) in the SEC. Yes even Bama and A&M and even OSU were behind LSU. There is plenty money for LSU to use.

Can TAF legally make NIL deals with athletes? Isn't it on private businesses to secure these deals?

If so, how does TAF influence recruiting directly through NIL?

They’re a very subpar staff when it comes to recruiting. I got constantly downvoted for pointing this out but they’ve shown they are not elite at evaluating talent.

They are elite at delaying the time it takes to offer a kid so that they develop relationships with other schools

What exact kind of results is A&M achieving that we haven’t the past two years?

"Right now, I don't care"

Apathy in a fan base leads towards the final nails in the coffin.

these 3 guys are absolute liabilities on this staff, and if Kelly wants to frick around and keep them, he's gonna find out and lose his job himself

Go back through Kelly’s career. If someone on the staff isn’t cutting it, he typically gets rid of them. He’s not Les Miles.

If not for NIL we would have 4-5 of A&Ms defensive starters on our team right now who are massive upgrades

OU is looking very good in both recruiting and on the field. Venable’s will have his team ready for the SEC.

Yeah Speights, Shand, the Texas player, and Chestnut look fantastic!!! frick the portal. Finding Burrows in the portal is rare. We aren’t going to win championships if that’s our strategy

The majority of players Kelly has brought in are hs recruits. And our best player on offense is a transfer.

And no we haven’t only brought guys in from southeastern.

You still have to actually coach them.

Well then hire Doug Belk, or Chevis Jackson - Raymond isn't the only DB coach we can get to recruit
Offer Terry Joseph and Co-Dc role and more money

The Defensive staff is - the offensive staff is fine and both Wilson and Sloan constantly have to help the defensive staff close on players

None of you know shite about LSU and their donors apparently. LSU has since the DiNardo days and will always out forth competitive offers for the players it fit our needs.

NIL just put what was once behind the scenes out into the open. All the people saying we can't or won't compete are ignorant to the facts.

we can't be top 5 in 2025 & 2026 with the talent in LA, we suck donkey dick. Right now, I don't care. Don't give a rat's arse or a good ole frick...

I mean we locked down the top 8 players in the state. Usually one or 2 are five stars which will happen in the next year if we can lock down the top ten again
