Now is the time. This is the wake-up call in my opinion.

LSU has got to be ready to use the resources they have to get talent on campus.

I’m watching OU get multiple 5 stars, along with Texas/ Texas AM. I’m also seeing FSU on the rise and a possible SEC addition.

LSU will be passed by if this current track continues. ‘25 class is a MUST top 7 atleast.

It all starts with stacking up top tier classes. Georgia has done it, Ohio state has done it, Alabama has done it, and now Texas and Texas AM are doing it and seeing results.

Side note: LSU has also got to hire better recruiters. Steeples, Cooks, House have not proven to not be good recruiters, let alone elite.

Maybe after tonight people will finally realize we can't keep losing these head to head recruiting battles and just "be fine" with transfer portal players.

We need to be recruiting at a significantly higher level. Period. Losing in-state guys like Mack and McKinley to conference rivals when our defense is desperate for talent is unacceptable.

If we can't be top 5 in 2025 & 2026 with the talent in LA, we suck donkey dick.

Right now, I don't care.

Don't give a rat's arse or a good ole frick...

We could be fine with transfer players. Just not transfers from McNeese, ULL and Southeastern.

A lot of it will do with on field results. Texas has a good selling point right now over LSU, especially now that they are joining the sec.

I am very worried though about next year. Tough schedule, and even more unknowns.

I just don’t see Kelly making changes, will not get into bidding wars for 5 stars.
The level of coaching just isn’t there to coach up 3 stars.

Except you do care by getting pissed in your response. You are one of those LSU fans that like to complain about your team so you’d prefer we’d lose.

I will tell you this. Kelly will not have a choice if things continue like this. There will be serious changes if recruiting struggles next year.

these 3 guys are absolute liabilities on this staff, and if Kelly wants to frick around and keep them, he's gonna find out and lose his job himself

The 2024 class has no playmaker on the DL, even if they did it usually takes a couple years before they make an impact.
No bidding wars and tonight is what happens.

This is going to get real ugly for CBK if he can’t step it up on the recruiting trial

Our biggest rivals are stacking elite recruits at the most important positions while CBK is getting solid players and having to settle for second tier transfers

It’s concerning and if you say it isn’t then you have your head in the sand

I mean LSU will not start the best players. They seem to care about seniority and letting older players play. No way should Major Burns be starting he misses so many talks. Also how the hell Weeks isn't starting at LB is beyond me.

I was once in agreement with this philosophy, but after watching our defense the last two weeks, that method will never be successful. We better figure out a way to get more talent on defense and coaches who can flat out coach and/or recruit at an elite level. If that doesn't happen, he's going to get uncomfortable around here real quick.

TBob said something hilarious tonight.

“We pour a lot of our poor as hell economy into football. Screw health care, screw poverty, and then we get this.”
