The Good

We have one of the best offenses in the country. I'll be curious to see what it looks like against a top ranked defense. So far, we look like we can score a pile on anyone.

The Bad

I understand that Maason Smith had major knee surgery and is working his way back, but that cat shouldn't be taking snaps from Jefferson. Take a look at the plays when we actually got pressure on KJ, Maason Smith was not in the game. For all the folks saying he eats up double teams, you're wrong. The center for Arkansas handled Maason Smith like a child. He currently lacks the power, speed, and aggresion to get first team snaps. Give me more Jefferson, please!

The Ugly

I know we are limited at safety depth due to the injury with Brooks, but Major Burns is a liability out there. I was actually surprised at his stat line (12 TOT). Every big play that Arkansas had, it seemed like Burns was involved. I do understand that can be a product of the position, but he hasn't looked great this year for a 5th year guy. Hoping Toviano can get a few snaps in the coming weeks.

The Confused

This coaching staff needs to get their head out of their arse with identifying our top 2-3 backs. It is clear that Logan Diggs and Kaleb Jackson are your two most talented backs, Josh Williams is a great option for pass protection. Diggs and Jackson should get the majority of the touches, end of story. Wtf are we doing giving Emery three straight series in the first half. Emery had a huge missed block up the middle on one of the early sacks on JD that ended a drive. I'll have a stroke if 4 RBs get touches against OM this weekend.

fricking a. Did u just not watch week 1? I want a qb that makes the players around him better. Not the opposite. No more noodle arm.

Yes, let’s ignore the last three games and only focus on game 1. That seems reasonable.

3rd down D is horrible. We need to get the D off the field every once in a while.

The Good
Best QB in the conference is on our team. Offense will win us a lot of games this year.

The Bad
3rd Down Defense- Matt House better wake up or his time at LSU will be short

The Ugly
This secondary room is the worst we’ve seen in a very long time

The Confused
Maason Smith looks terrible. Jefferson looks light year better than Smith does right now. Never would’ve thought that.

This is the biggest problem we have by far. I have ulcers because of this.

We gave up nearly 500 yards of offense in week 1 and you point out the QB as the problem?

The good is our offense. We can move and score the ball.

The bad is our D, not just Smith. We need better play across the board. We can bring some young guys along, but they need to learn the game. Athleticism can get you just so far.

The confused Saturday night were the LBs and DBs who were supposed to cover the TE.
Hopefully our coaches will address that fatal flaw this week. We need to clean that up.

The Good

Our Receiving core looks great. Nabors is legit!! Also our backs out side of Emery are all good.

The Bad

Major Burns... dude needs to kick rocks. He is HORRIBLE. No other way to describe him. Every time it is 3rd down they are looking his way. He is constantly out of position.

The Ugly

Again Burns... Also Jayden's ability to lead receivers. He needs to over throw his receivers and let them go get it. Receivers having to slow down will never work against better opponents.

The Confused

Why arent younger players playing more. We have seen what it is like with some of them in games. Weeks is legit, Womack is legit, Jackson is legit. Start moving some of them into starting spots. Our secondary, mainly Burns, is horrible, it cant be worse with a freshman, play them and see what it is like. And the Emery experiment is over. I understand you have tried but it aint going to work. Jackson and Diggs are legit.

A game where he threw for 350 and hit at a 68% rate with 3 drops.

100% Jefferson needs to get more playing time. Maason just looks out of shape which can be helped with getting Jefferson more playing time. Maason will continue to get into game shape the more games he gets under his belt.

We are going to have to bring more pressure on 3rd and 5 or more. Our db’s just can’t cover for longer than about 4-5 seconds without getting burned.

When you allow the QB to extend plays then a the DB's will pay. Outside containment has been one of our biggest defensive issues and it led to a number of big plays and TD's. Our DE's tend to take inside angles which allowed KJ to extend plays running outside which also gets young eyes on the QB and they lose contact with their receiver. That needs to be fixed and Jones has been a disappointment from that perspective. On the last TD the TE ran right in front of our right side DE untouched because he was focused on KJ. Should have at least hit him or gave him a shove to take him off his route.

Kelly does not play fr till he trusts them to do the right thing on every play
Sometimes you have to let them go and give them more of a leash
Perkins didn't have his coming out party until the Ole Miss game last year

Slight correction. We can move the ball on anyone. The scoring just isn't matching up. Take out Grambling, and LSU is still averaging 500 yards but only 33 points per game.

I think it's because the defense can't get off the field and the special teams is a non-factor at best. This means offensive drives are rarely starting in good field position.

I agree with your full post, but 33 a game should be enough to win the majority of your football games.
