who else they going to vote for?

Merely meant for the primary. None will vote Wilson in a runoff against Landry. Wilson is the only general election opponent Landry can beat.

None. Well, at least the full note (click the link) says he "plans to pursue opportunities in the private sector."

That doesn't rule out the LABI job.

Name a democrat who could beat Landry. Democrats are smart enough to usually run on candidate and not split their open primary vote. The runoff was never going to be Republican vs Republican so that’s a dumb thing to say.

It's funny watching the operatives at work around here. Nelson never polled higher than 2% despite having a bunch of support here from people who said they weren't part of his campaign.

Don't really care what Nelson does, as long as Kim Carver wins his open house seat.

I can guarantee you there are paid Landry operatives that have been posting here for a while. Jindal had them. Vitter had them. As do certain PACs/NGOs.

But it’s not surprising those conservatives here that actually pay attention to real Louisiana issues aren’t completely aligned with the Republican voting masses throughout the state.

Well of course he endorses Landry. He's an attorney. And as it's getting out more and more, Landry promised to protect Louisiana's greatest resource - Trial Attorneys.

Nelson was the political junkie’s candidate. He’s a wonk who focuses on boring issues like taxes, interest rates, pension solvency, and state constitutional reform. This board has a lot of political junkies posting on it, and in no way represents Louisiana or southern voters at large. It should be no surprise that the kind of candidate who appeals to a niche audience of politically aware voters finds vocal support on a forum made up of those kinds of people.

Also, I have often said that if Landry wins, he would be wise to incorporate Nelson’s tax plan into his administration’s agenda.

Sorry, baw. Those “issues” are boring and a waste of time because Louisiana doesn’t need any of that.

Keep Biden and trannies in check, and our budget problems will disappear and our income earners will stop moving to Texas, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida.

Voters really do be that way. That’s the sad thing. I remember campaigning door to door and hearing answers like “I don’t want Louisiana to grow.”

[Sev09] texted our group chat the other day and was like "damn [kingbob's] band is actually really good." And I was like lol I already knew that.

If/when Landry wins, absolutely nothing is going to change here. You understand that, right? We will be in the exact same shape we are now financially, tax wise, tort reform, insurance rates, etc.

We'll be able to say we have a Republican governor as we drive under the 5 billionth Gordon billboard and paying our LA Citizens premiums because that's all we can get.

The anti-Landry democrats are about to cycle through the stages of grief. Nelson ran to position himself to run for Scalise’s seat when he retires, IMO.

That's all this was. It's hard to support a guy who's not serious about winning and is only running to increase name recognition. Plus the Mandie Landry endorsement didn't help.
