Curbside was good until they started selling frozen Sysco patties

Went to Burgersmith shortly after it opened and thought it sucked. Heard so many great things about it, I went back thinking my first impression had to be wrong. Nope, trash again. Don’t understand the fandom.

riverside patty is the best in BR..homemade burger fires and drink for $10, you cant beat it

also dearmans is a close second for just a good plain cheeseburger

this right here.
picked me up a delicious cheeseburger and tator tots yesterday for under $10, and that place is always packed for lunch.
Can't say for certain, but i'm about 95% sure they aren't using frozen patties. It's fresh ground meat patties.

Few of my favorites that haven't been mentioned.
Louie's
The Shell station on Perkins, between Bluebonnet and Siegen has a mighty fine burger that's cheap.
Tramonte's makes a good burger and they sell cases of frozen patties that are great for a barbecue or throwdown weeknight dinner.

Curbside was once great, the patties are just too small for anything other than over-cooked and its not like a smash burger.

That’s not a good thing to me. A burger needs fat.

I had that one last Thursday. Was pretty good.

Solera has a tasty burger as well.

I liked Burger Smith better than Curbside

Unfortunately never made it to Raoul's or Agile, both of those looked tasty

Iverstine Butcher, also the best muffaletta in the area. Only open for lunch on weekdays and brunch/lunch on Saturday.

Martin's Deli also has a great burger.

Agree with Martin's.

Overpass Merchant has a good cheeseburger, though I can't tell if the grind changed a bit after their chef left a while back. Gone went steak night and other great specials they once featured. Now its more run of the mill, simple fare for specials, like different hot dogs and such.

Overpass' burger was much better a few years ago. It had tons of flavor and much more fat - you can tell the blend is different in the past 1-1.5 years

The best burger in BR is at Ruth's Chris for their lunch special. $15 gets you a ceasar salad, ground ribeye burger with bacon on a pretzel bun, and a side.

who says fat isnt in it?

you can grind up a lean chuck.... hell Chuck IMO taste weird(ETA: cheap chuck i should say. I have had some really good burgers and chuck steaks. ). I can tell chuck is in a blend and its an off putting flavor.

I have mixed some meats and my go to now are brisket and picanha trimmings, Brisket and short rib. Id like to mix all three next tim i have enough trimmings.

ETA2: I will say Riverside gets some hate form people because all the patties are mediumish. they do not cook under that. But their meat mix and consistency is the best in BR.

J Alexander's.

Yes, it's a small chain, but they make a great burger and it's not something they are known for.
