Jared Verse is excited to see ‘how much potential’ Florida State has against #5 LSU

JASON FITZ: If you ask me, it's one of the greatest stories in college football this year. Jared Verse coming from Albany to Florida State to now everybody already talking about him top five in the draft.

Jared Verse: He just wants my best. And when your coach says that to you, he says that to every player across the board, you buy into someone like that.

JASON FITZ: So you mentioned best. You guys are going to get the best right out of the gates. You're taking on Jaden Daniels, who's a huge Heisman candidate himself, a lot of hype. Do you love having a week 1? Because a lot of schools, let's be honest, this guy's a little cupcake, right? They go out there, ease into it. You guys are right into it. Is that something you're excited about?

JARED VERSE: I'm definitely excited about it. Like, LSU, they're a great team. They got an amazing quarterback. The offensive line is very good. Their tackles are very good, people I'm going to be going up against. They got Harold Perkins on the defensive side. They got a great defensive line. Like, they have a great team, and I'm excited like to see what we've crafted. Like, what we have is a lot of potential on our team, but we put in so much work. I want to see how much work we put in, like how much potential can we actually extract from the amount we have.
