Are yall hearing about the issues with student tickets? Freshmen received an email that the would be allowed to purchase tickets at 9 this morning. People went to the website where they had the tickets divided into two packages and then they could buy 1 ticket to the A&M game as a separate option. Many people clicked on both packages and the A&M ticket and checked out their purchases, bank accounts were charged, then they received an email saying that they could only select one package and that that their purchase was removed. So no tickets now show up in their account and the website wont let them buy anything. Students and parents are losing their minds. Ticket office is hanging up on people if you can get through at all. Supposedly they made the change so more people could get some tickets since they have so many more freshmen this year. Its a mess right now. Way to go LSU, screwing everything up.

They don’t get tickets to all the home games like we used to?

That blows.

Yep, my son got screwed over. He got the email 10 minutes after he bought the tickets. I told him to go to the ticket office after class since he couldn't get through on the phone.

Do the fraternities still have allotted ticket amounts and seats? That was such a nice benefit of being in one

Yeah the student section currently is a disaster. People complain about the students leaving early (and its warranted) but in fairness a significant portion are unable to even find room to stand.

They should just let them buy half game tickets. You can buy 1st half or 2nd half tix. Bring in some freesh blood at half time when most of the kids are leaving by then anyway.

Damn, in my 02-05 years it was a lottery for freshman, but if picked we got the whole season for like $48 with a $2 fee to make it an even $50. 04-05 might have been higher after the championship but not by much. $100 maybe?

I paid $70 for full season student tickets my freshman year

Of course that was 2003. After that demand went up pretty significantly.

They should go back to just the ID. Scan ID and get in.

They had to split freshman tickets into packages in 2008 after we won the NC. I mean if they made it clear that you could only select one package, they shouldn't have been greedy and try to game the system With that being said, LSU should have had controls in place to prevent you from checking out or proceeding with both ticket packages. I didn't realize this happened so close to the first game though...

Why do they make this shite so hard for students.

1.Block off the sections
2.First come first serve every game up to a certain amount of students
3. Scan student id for fire marshal requirements so to not over fill the sections and to bill the student’s account.

The student section doesn’t need designated seats. They’re students. They stand and move around the whole damn game

Well I am not shocked. The lsusports website is an interesting maze to maneuver thru. While you can get things purchased / accomplished it is clunky.

Not sure why any rational parent should be losing their minds. Your kid's in college now, it's time to let them begin to solve their own problems, especially when it comes to football tickets.

The good old days (1966-1970) where your student ID got you into games (football, basketball, etc.) I think there was $15 added to your tuition bill.
