What is the best “cheap” Red Dot sight?

About to pull the trigger on a couple of ARs and my son wants a simple red dot sight. Any suggestions on what to avoid or recommendations on a good one?

Sig Sauer Romeo - around $80 on Amazon
Vortex Crossfire is good too, but over $100
Anything cheaper is going to move every few magazines.

I’ve got a couple of Northtac Ronin P10’s that are pretty darn good for the price. The one piece P11 might be better suited for an AR.
Mine are on a Ruger American Ranch and a turkey gun. Neither lose zero.

(Code 3720 will get another 20% off).
3 of 7 Project did a good review of it on youtube.
Edit to add…Sig Romeo5 is on my AR. I trust it with my life.

Go with a Vortex. Their warranty and customer service is top notch if you buy their top of the line or cheapest line.

For me, cheap means good quality and a reasonable price. If you buy something poorly made with a crummy warranty, you defintely don't get off cheaply. Check out Riton Optics. I have 3 of their Red Dots that I picked up at their last sale, and I couldn't be happier. In fact, I'll be training with them this week on my pistol-caliber carbines. I know they are having a big Labor Day sale that starts Friday, so check them out. Save some money and get a good optic.
Right now their 1 Tactix ARD (my favorite) is $99! I paid more than that! I put their 1 Tactix RRD on my Crossbow for pig hunting.

If you want the cheapest of the cheap, a utg has been on my vepr12 for 1000 rounds or so.
Still accurate.
I would only run them on .22 ARs or shotguns personally

Holosun. Spend the extra bit of money. It's worth it in the long run.
