I figured someone would try to use that as an excuse. No, he was already open before they got close to the referee. Then Bech just continued to run away from him.
A lot of the catches were as an outlet or against zone coverage, so yeah, he got a lot of short-range passes. So I'm sure you'll want to credit him for the forced missed tackles he had. Because if not, it would make any rational person think that you dumb fricks want to discredit what Bech did with LSU just like many did with Damone Clark and Danielle Hunter.

Also, you should find a better opener than "um".

1:28 -- you got an excuse for the DB that got juked and left on the RAC for a first down?

That Walker Howard transfer is one of the more inexplicable things I can think of when you consider all the factors.

Also, obviously he’s going to get a shite ton of hate from the LSU fanbase based on how he left and where he went….BUT

Between his dads experience and now that, can you imagine how much that family hates LSU lolol. Jeez.

65-7 says otherwise. They're not even close.

Nah.

Bech had a good freshman season on a terrible team. But he was average at best last year. He was passed up on the depth chart and made the decision to start over and chase playing time elsewhere.

Going into this 10th year of the CFP, they're one of only 7 teams that have won a playoff game.

He didn't get the targets last season. And I see no reason to think he shouldn't have been targeted more.

Does that say the Marcel Brooks is a 3rd team LB? Man as 2019 ended I thought this guy was gonna be next level.

He was playing safety , WR and special teams last year before he was hurt . He’s had the injury bug since he left LSU .

Feel like I haven’t heard the name Arik Gilbert in years and he’ll only be a sophomore this year. He’s going to be one of those guys thats still playing college ball when he’s 24.

Marcel kind of doesn't have a position. He's smallish for an every down linebacker. Aranda utilized him perfectly as a pass rusher, which is what he really is. He should have transferred to Baylor if he was leaving LSU.

was not sustainable at all.

Brooks should have been a box safety or off the ball LB. This was his only shot. He has not been committed to be a P5 football player. Among other issues he has.

Fans are nutty, man. Saying he should be in the NFL. Lol. He has not done jack shite as a CFB player.

Average? My 14 year old can field punts better than him.

So your 14 year old can field punts better than Malik Nabors also, right?

Bech was never supposed to be returning kicks. Judge him by his receiving, not his kick returning.

Also, the dropped kickoff vs Tennessee is 98% on Polian because he moved Bech from the right hash to the left hash pretty much at the moment the kicker was approaching the bal so Bech ended up on a 40 yard sprint to try and field a kickoff.

That's assuming he's out of jail by then. A tragic waste of talent. If you read the arrest report, it seems like he wanted to get caught. Maybe his last cry for help.

I still don’t understand why what happened to him here is so private around here. No one talks about it on podcasts or radio shows, kid is long gone from here spill the tea. He must’ve did something that would make the program looks bad so no one wants to talk about it

Rumor was a psychotic break after taking some form of drug that was laced . Probably nothing being said because he was allegedly committed. Those post 2019 Orgeron days were wild, it was really on the brink of collapse . Thankfully there was still an adult like Woodward in the room to intervene.
