Or the CIA shot him down and pinning it on Putin to further the case for war on Russia in the Ukraine. Seriously I would not put it past those frickers.

Don't feel one bit sorry for Prigozhin.. he was a pos maniac. He beat a young soldier to death with a sledgehammer. He had it coming as well as those with him. Good riddance.

It amazes me that so many people in this country are absolutely positive that Putin is guilty of silencing of critics, but refuse to believe the same thing does not occur in this country. Prigozhin is a neo nazi war monger who criticized Putin for being too weak on Ukraine, begging him to let him and his forces take over. Wagner has been operating in the Middle East and Africa, furthering Russias agenda. CIA thought they could pay Prigozhin enough money to turn on Putin, kill him, and end the war. Well the Prigozhin took the money and basically went back to Putin, had a 3 hour meeting and they basically laughed about the whole thing.
Taking this guy out serves several purposes. It weakens this "elite Russian faction", thus hurts their ability to further their agenda, it sends a message to not screw over the US, and it allows the blame to be placed on Putin (like the pipeline) turning more of the world against Russia.

Like they did when they tried to take the conoco oil fields in Syria that was held by the US? Where they ran head long into devastating artillery, Apache helos, reaper drones, A-10s, Spookys, and F-15s? Their little high dollar pissing match over there would be finished by now if so.
