I was worried about this, named storm in gulf, late August.....not surprised at all...tell him to keep the windows up

If I ran a weather betting site, I would black out the last week of August from anyone placing a bet on a Gulf coast storm. Or pay losing money.

I have had to deal with too many of them.

That's what I like about living here, it still feels like old Florida in the Big Bend. People are catching on this morning, Walmart was pretty crowded. But still no problem getting water, ice, gas, basic food.

How’s the fishing there? Trout and reds?

It would be cool to have a place close to white sandy beaches and still be able to catch trout and reds like in Louisiana.
