This is propaganda btw. That's working well over 40 hours a week at the top end of the UPS pay scale and also includes value of benefits in the number. So the very top end drivers working the most hours are making like 100-110 in salary and the new fellas and average workers are far below this.

Still good money, but a misleading headline.

That’s including all the benefits monetized. Ask HR what your full benefit package is worth and they’ll show you a crazy number .

They do go through hell though…. Just driving around any big city would almost be not worth it.

Knew a guy in high school as dumb as they come, he got a UPS job in the late 80's making $60,000 + full benefits etc etc etc

Way more than all us smart guys who went to college were making right out of school back then

Thing is with UPS drivers, everything over 8 hrs a day is overtime, not like most jobs where you need to have over 40 hrs a week to collect OT.

My buddy is a UPS guy, he does well, like I said in the other thread, he’ll work 10-12 hours a day putting in over 60 hours a week.

But he’s not making $170k. More like 110-120.. and he’s busting his arse..

Have you not noticed the quality of the drivers? They look and sound educated, and this goes back to when I was a kid.

I can imagine the job is grueling though. You are slammed every day all day like Galatoire's at 7:30 the night before the Sugar Bowl.

Good friend graduated college and was a baby manager for them. Switch to driving to make more money.

I know a guy who drives for them and they’ve always had good pay but hard to find your way into the seat. Another guy I know who handled packages for years got kicked out of training for not memorizing a manual he didn’t know he had to memorize. On day 1 of training

Hard to get through all the Biden knob slobbin in that article, those are some serious mental gymnastics giving Biden credit for a union negotiation!

I worked as a driver helper one Christmas when I was 18, would've been like 2013.

One driver I worked with was just starting out, he had worked as a loader and worked his way up and was basically a part time driver part loader at that point, was like 26 making nearly $60k.

I also worked with a black woman driver who had been with them like 30 years, she had a super easy route (maybe 100 stops) and that's at Christmas. She said she was making like $97 per hour when she hit overtime. She had paid cash for a brand new Mercedes convertible earlier that year.

They offered me a job as a loader at the end of the season but I had other things going on.
