No actually a lot of people have heard of the bands I listen to. Just highly doubt any of the boomers on this board know of them because they are not on CMT XM country top 20 radio.

CMT will probably put this video on now - will that make Childers mainstream and you not like him anymore ?

Zach Bryan’s songs play on the Highway more than anyone else’s- is he not cool anymore?

Childers was always a degenerate. He sang about whoring, doing cocaine, breaking & entering. This is just par for the course

And murder. I draw the line at gay coal miners, though.

Gay coal miner subtext in that song too

'Cause that's what us boys are for
To help you out when you get weary
And you can't go no more
Can't you see her up there, Cody?
I can see her through the pines
Saying boys be good

tyler has probably played white house road literally 3000 times live. im sure he's tired of it and wants to play newer songs. he's not a jukebox.

Only if you care about the money. Tyler doesn't seem to be obsessed with making more money.

Yea- some folks seem caught up on the guys only goal being to have 1 more attendee or record sold.

Turns out still making a very successful living doing something he actually enjoys and feels fulfilled by might count for something

People acting like left-wing nonsense is new to "country" music.

Here's a long Twitter thread about the hick-lib scene in country music.

LINK

quote:

Why are Hollywood, Nashville & many leftist institutions (i.e. most institutions) pushing a narrative & trying to force a feeling that even coal miners, cowboys & country fans are secretly San Franciso homosexuals?

Think of the hick-lib as a collaborator - someone who stands to gain socially, financially & gain better opportunities by helping the regime in power make the normal, sensible population of rural, red parts of the country feel surrounded, discouraged, and despondent.

He is sober now, I got to chat with him back stage of the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam back in Dec. He said he gave it all up at the beginning of the pandemic.

Yea found God so won't sing his songs that talk about drugs/booze etc. I guess no one told him being gay isn't following God's teachings.
