I'm 42, but growing up I sorta made it a duty of mine to learn all about LSU greats of the past, players and or teams. For a lot of my youth LSU was not very good, so I would always say well we had Cannon, or Michael Brooks, or Eric Martin, so on and so on. AJ Duhe was certaintly one of those guys.

I was 5-6 yrs old and began attending my first football games when Duhe was at LSU. He was in the same signing class as Terry Robiske as they were roommates. First time that a black and white football player(s) had roomed together. Neither had a problem with it since they each other and grew up on opposite sides of the river Edgard and Reserve. Duhe was definitely a stud.

Great player. Two others who get no mention are Leonard Marshall & Henry Thomas.

I’m not sure you understand how to be a troll.

My mom struck a conversation with him because she was excited to meet an LSU fan that was also a Dolphins “fan.” After a minute or so we parted ways, she told me his name and said he played for the Dolphins.
She didn't remember him. My wife had a guy come into her work recently, and wanted to know if I had ever heard of him - it was Johnny Bench.

I got this autographed picture of AJ Duhe when i was a kid.. it’s one of my most prized possessions , and i will treasure it forever .
Since we're posting random Dolphins players, here's former LSU player Liffort Hobley. Dude still looks like he can bench at the NFL Combine when I saw him on campus either last year or the year before.

I remember the night I asked my wife to marry me and it was just before LSU play Rice. Duhe was a beast and I think LSU score 70 pts that game and I got lucky after the game.

That was two different games, the second game was Carlos Carson 5 TD game. Carson wasn’t recruited out of high school. LSU was looking at tape on another player, saw Carson. They offered him a visit, Carson hasn’t gotten any teams recruiting him. Carson asked the staff, visit? Y’all offering me, I’m coming!
That Carson game, he caught 5 TD’s , and LSU won, 77-0

I was thinking about my encounter w him the other day. I was an incoming freshman and we were both doing summer construction work. He was manhandling a jackhammer and I asked “What do you plan on doing for a living?” He replied “I play ball.” We had some other interesting conversations as well.
Cool dude! A great Tiger indeed! ??
