Has there ever been a more enjoyable June in LSU baseball history?

I graduated in 90 and witnessed many games and runs over the years but i honestly can't remember having as much fun (and heart attack moments) as this year.

The # of heart-attack games was definitely offset by the 3rd game of the finals which finally released a month's worth of pent up frustration

The 8 games in Omaha with only 2 days off was a dream. The "moments" within that time span felt like the old Rosenblatt magic. Goosebumps just thinking about it.

It's not often that you actually have the best 3 teams throughout the season as the last 3 teams left. I think that's what made it so compelling. As soon as Florida advanced to Omaha, I felt like they were definitely making the finals, and it would definitely be LSU or Wake on the other side. That hasn't happened often lately.

ETA: I think that if the CWS can stay that good, the draw for college baseball will grow around the country. The only thing holding it back is a few good teams from the Big 10.

it was awesome and you just felt like we were gonna set up like 2017.

and I was nervous but it also felt like a huge chance at revenge.

The condensed format in Omaha definitely helped with that feeling. After the Wake loss, we had to play every night until we got through.

Also, it was a nice throwback to the old days of a single championship game, because honestly, Game 1 against Florida was the real championship.

I can't think of one.

It's been, what, over 3 weeks since the natty and I'm still buzzed.

This baseball season was incredible from start to finish. LSU had arguably the best two players in the entirety of college baseball and won the natty on top of that. The CWS games were epic. The homers from Tanks were electric. In all of my seasons following LSU baseball, this season was minimum top two, if not the best, I have witnessed. Just sad it had to end.

I've been doing BPB for the program for 9 years, and I just always had this feeling of "This team looks special, I have to witness this." So I did it, and flew out to Omaha for the first time. 100% worth it.

2009 was fun. I’m not a huge baseball fan but those couple of weeks last month were some of my favorite moments watching LSU sports over the past 50 years. I’m hooked now.

This was one for the ages although it had a few frustrating periods

The most exciting month?
I would say yes.

But 96 comes close.
The regional final against Georgia Tech was one of the most memorable games I attended in the Old Box. Then we had Warren Morris.

This is true and I also felt Tennessee was right up there as well. Very glad we sent them home.

We def ran the gauntlet of the 3 toughest teams in Omaha and beat all 3 of them twice. That's bad arse.

It's our first championship in the SEC/SEC+ streaming every game era, so most of us were able to see much more of this team. I think we can all be guilty of recency bias, but because it had been 14 years since the last title, this one does seem awfully special. This team was such a good group of guys, and I remember often saying that it would be a shame if they don't leave with a championship.
