the only solution is to pull up the carpet and throw it away. epoxy or seal the concrete. My floors are bare concrete at this very moment bc of this damn cat. I tried all of the normal recommendations. They dont work. The best I could do was catch it fresh and use an industrial grade wet-vac on it. It sorta worked.

I would like to throw the cat away with my carpet

That’s so gross. Man there is no way I would ever have a cat.

An orange feral cat was coming up to the house and spraying everything. Our cats figured out that if they yowled loudly when the feral cat arrived, I would send a dog out. The dog that was abandoned by the house and decided to stay would give the cat a great chase. But, the cat kept coming back. So, I sent out the old Aussie, a former cat killing dog who still knows how to handle herself in scrap with a varmint.

The cat figured out it was better to find another place to go. The Aussie skillfully cornered the cat and was working it. I called her off, and the cat took off never to be seen here again (hopefully).

Only way to cover it up is to use the urine of a larger cat.

I suggest going to a local zoo and negotiating with some of the staff

We’ve had good success with the rocko and Roxie brand spray. Liberal application like others have said. Wife hates its smell at first but it works ok no lingering smells. I too had to do this in preparation for nursery. We replaced carpet so I sprayed the slab and let it soak before we went back with new carpet

I'm assuming it's carpet?

Maybe pull up the carpet, cut out the pad, replace the pad, put the carpet back down and steam clean/shampoo the carpet?

The only solution is burn it or move. I manage a building that had a cat 15 years ago. When the temp and humidity are right, you think you’re walking into a cat ladies house. It will never go away.

Didn't read the thread but buy an ozone machine off Amazon. Should be 40 or 50 bucks and works well on any smells.

Honestly. Once this problem starts, it is VERY unlikely that it will stop. Our once indoor cat now lives outdoors after many different attempts at medication, different boxes, different litters, sprays, food supplements, lab tests... you get the picture.

Had replace rugs and carpet, and even subfloor under them in some spots.

I do not feel like an a-hole for not allowing a 8lb cat to destroy my biggest asset.
