People who can’t pass those tests have no place in the classroom. It’s almost insulting how easy they are. I passed the secondary social studies, secondary English, secondary spanish, and plc the first time I took them. That’s not a boast at all either. I was a history major and took all the others just to have options if a history job didn’t open. Any decent high school student could sit down and pass them

The Praxis, which is used in most states, is one of the easiest exams I've ever taken. I aced the content knowledge exams (social studies, English language arts). Yet, there are teachers who have to take the Praxis II PLT (Principles of Learning and Teaching, in other words, the "I know how to teach" test) over and over, attending workshops, etc., all the while teaching on a temporary certificate.
Sadly, many of these teachers are fast tracked to administration.

Work with several Elementary teachers who couldn't pass the Praxis - until Covid allowed test taking from home. They all paid someone to take it for them (not sure how that occurred, but they were all suddenly Certified and bragged about paying for it) I passed all Praxis I needed the first time I took them and found them to be quite easy. Of course, these same teachers all have multiple Masters degrees they recieve online. In fact, one has 3 Masters and is almost done with her Doctorate, yet can't pass the content knowledge tests for Elementary. How can these teachers teach their students elementary Math when they can't pass it themselves?
